I hate the Eagles but I like Andy Reid. He's a good guy and a great coach. Anyhow, his two dopey kids in one day managed to make the 10pm news in the Philly region. Dope #1 waved a handgun at a fellow driver during a case of road rage. Dope #2 was in a car accident and drug and drug paraphanalia was found in the car... I'm sure the toxicology report won't help matters either. Dope #2's girlfriend had to be pried out using the jaws of life...fortunately she is okay, and no fatalities were reported.

sorry no link, was on the news.

I always imagined his kids would look like round little teddy bears.

That's all. Just thought I'd share that.

I feel sorry for Andy Reid to have to put up with this crap. At the same time, it sounds like they lack discipline and maturity, so that could also be blamed at Andy himself being the father and all.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Two of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid's sons are under investigation — one for suspicion of pointing a gun at a motorist, the other for a car accident just hours later, after which police said he admitted using heroin.

Britt Reid was questioned by police after a man matching his description in a sport-utility vehicle registered to Andy Reid and his wife brandished a weapon at another driver during an argument Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Authorities served a search warrant later Tuesday at the home the 21-year-old shares with his parents in suburban Philadelphia. Police said they seized a shotgun and a handgun, along with containers of white powder or residue from the vehicle.
No charges have been filed, but police gave the following account of the incident:
A man matching Britt Reid's description got out of a sport-utility vehicle and yelled at another motorist, then returned to his SUV and pulled out a handgun. He then pointed the gun directly at the other driver, smiled and took off, but the other motorist took down his license plate number.

From the vehicle, police recovered a shotgun, ammunition, a container holding eight clear baggies with white residue, a container with white powder, four small white pills, and a pharmacy bottle holding a green leafy substance, according to a list obtained by The Associated Press.

A pistol and ammunition were also seized from the house.
Andy Reid was on vacation and not at home at the time of the search. He returned home Wednesday.

On the same day as the alleged road-rage incident, Britt Reid's older brother, Garrett, was found with drug paraphernalia after his sport-utility vehicle collided with another vehicle in nearby Plymouth Township, police said.

According to a police affidavit obtained by WPVI-TV, a Plymouth Township police officer observed a triple beam scale and the butt of a handgun in the SUV Garrett Reid had been driving.

Officers detained Garrett Reid and recovered two used hypodermic needles and a knife. One officer said Reid was unable to follow simple directions or understand what was told to him.

In a statement to police, the 23-year-old Garrett Reid said he had used heroin earlier in the day, admitted he was speeding at the time of the accident and said he did not know what color the traffic light was when he went through the intersection, according to the affidavit.

Police requested a search warrant for the SUV, but it was not immediately clear if investigators had executed the warrant.

Police said Thursday that Garrett Reid was taken to a hospital for toxicology tests, but the results were not yet available. The case remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.

Andy Reid didn't have any immediate comment on the incidents, Eagles spokesman Derek Boyko said.

William J. Winning, a lawyer representing Garrett and Britt Reid, released a statement in which he declined to comment on the specifics of the investigations.
"We are fully cooperating with law enforcement officials in that regard and will continue to do so," Winning said. "Until these matters are resolved, however, neither the Reid family or I will have any further comment and we ask that the privacy of the Reid family be respected."

The eldest son of Eagles coach Andy Reid admitted using heroin before causing a traffic accident this week in Montgomery County, court documents show. Garrett Reid, 23, "acknowledged using heroin... on Tuesday," according to a search-warrant affidavit released yesterday. He made the admission in a written statement he gave police after the accident. "Reid also acknowledged possessing drug paraphernalia including hypodermic syringes," the affidavit said. Police obtained search warrants that led them to a handgun, ammunition, suspected drugs and other items in two vehicles owned by the Eagles head coach. A second gun and more ammunition were found in the Reids' Villanova house. While Andy Reid is not suspected of wrongdoing, two of his sons, Garrett and Britt, 21, await the results of lab tests that could deepen their legal trouble.

Fools, absolute fools! :tantrum: Anyone who is brainless and stupid enough to use drugs is a TOTAL IDIOT, plain and simple!!!!!!!!!!!

Eagles coach Reid takes leave of absence

PHILADELPHIA - Eagles coach Andy Reid will leave the team for a month to deal with family issues, a decision that comes less than two weeks after two sons got into separate legal trouble on the same day.

The team said the leave of absence will last through mid-March. Eagles president Joe Banner was to discuss the matter at an afternoon news conference.

Reid is also the team's head of football operations. If he does not rejoin the Eagles until the middle of next month, he will miss the NFL scouting combine and the start of free agency. NFL teams may begin voluntary offseason workouts March 19. Reid will be back for the NFL draft April 28-29.

Garrett Reid, 23, tested positive for heroin after he caused a traffic accident Jan. 30, police said. No charges have been filed, but prosecutors are looking at the case. Police have said he could be charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Britt Reid, 21, was arraigned on drug and weapons charges. He is accused of pointing a handgun at another driver following a dispute and faces a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license as well as misdemeanor charges of lying to authorities, simple assault, making terroristic threats and possession of a controlled substance.

Just pretty much sums up the fact that football coaches dont always put in the time to be good papas. So much precious time into grooming players.
