Another Commentary on Mario's Big Day

the perfect summary......"It's the perfect way to remember Dan the Man, calling his own plays on the fly, and shocking everyone in the house, even his own teammates, plumb silly." nice job by mr. dave george.

I thought Dan and his son did a great job but I was kind of surprised he didn't thank Richmond Webb by name. Afterall the guy had his blind side for how many years?

I also thought that Duper was kind of a third wheel and yesterday just reinforced that thinking. Now maybe Dan called out Clayton because he was sitting by the isle but for some reason if the two were sitting opposite each other I still think Dan would have called out Clayton.

Clayton and Marino at one time, set a record for most TDs for a QB/WR Combination (Later it was broken by some players in San Fran...can't remember their names right now .....Rice/Young ).

I liked Duper, awesome speed, great deap threat at any time, but Marino's favorite Receiver (as mine) was Clayton, he might not have had Duper's speed, but he was more dangerous. Every catch Mark Clayton made was a potentiel TD from anywhere on the field. Clayton also deserves to one day be up there.
