I'm back in Florida BABY!
Now let me first say that out of our 3 losses, the Bucs are the only team that I think is a better football team than us right now and playing better football than us right now, however, that's not to say we didn't have our chances to beat this team. Let's first review the previous episodes.

Meadowlands, Giants Stadium.. First Jets serise, they fumble and the Dolphins Recover. Great Field Possision and while you can't just ASSUME a FG there, it's a pretty good bet. However, we're offsides. (Unforced Error). they keep the ball, and go on to score a TD on the driver.. a ten point swing and we're -7 instead of +3. Our first drive, we botch a chip shot FG, another unforced error... again, we're -3... that's -10 all together.. we lost 17-7 to the jets. Now Take their 7 from the drive continuing on our offsides and give us that 3 and then give us the 3 on the botched FG, and we at least lead if not win 13-10.

Buffalo New York - An intercepton in the end zone when in sure fire FG range keeps us from at least 3, a taunting call during a touchdown gives them great field possition and allows them 3, and a fumble by ronnie brown when in FG position keeps us from another 3... again, you can't assume these FG's, but they are certainly good bets to be made.. that's 9 a nine point swing.. so instead of a lead or win of 20-17, we lose 20-14...

Now, to Tampa... They get a fumble for a TD, we get a fumble for a touchdown.. so that's a wash.. however, the Pass to Ronnie on the challenge play is a touchdown if Gus' pass is higher and hits him in stride, I was at the game and there was nothing but green grass in front of him, the only reason the safety got him is because of ronnie falling.. -7 on an unforced error on Frerotte.. then Chambers TD is called back for a penalty, another unforced error.. -14.. and of course the bomb to chambers that was either overthrown or dropped depending on your view, regardless, a good pass and a good receiver make that catch.. that's -21 on just OUR MISTAKES AND UNFORCED ERRORS... now again, Tampa is playing better and a better team right now. however, we shot ourselves in the foot on so many occasions.. not to mention the dropped passes and over thrown passes that would have converted first downs and kept possession of the ball in many cases..

So there ya go.. 3 games and 3 instances where our OWN unforced errors cost us points or helped the other team score points, costing us leads and possibly wins. I know you can say these things about most and team in most every game probably.. but for some reason we seem to be excelling at handing the game to the other team rather than making them earn it... i'm the first one to say when my team gets beat by a better team, and ultimately, I think that's what happen yesterday, but, there were 21 points Tampa bascially was handing us, that we ourselves didn't take advantage of.. so instead of a 34-27 lead or win.. it's a 27-13 loss..

Oh well, here's to having faith in our team and backing them no matter what. I'll be at Dolphins stadium, hopefully with my voice back for that game, cheering them on and hoping they can reach the .500 mark.

GO DOLPHINS!!! that concludes this episode of shooting ourselves in the foot for this week..

The seasons pretty much over if you want a superbowl. All we have is our faint hope we can beat KC and the rest of the afc east skrews up.

And as Joe Rose said, The Bucs players have been playing a long time together and with the few acquired new ones, they have not had the upheaval that we've had this past year...
few good players aquired

Errors and mental mistakes is something every team has to over come and you can't easily dimiss them.

The original post is just a bunch of excuses on why the fins have lost a few games.

And this is obviously a post from a troll who knows very little about football, and who's mind is clouded by a Jest loss to his/her Jills...

Errors and mental mistakes are a part of every losing teams anatomy...You faced yours in the first 4 games...so you had a better game this week. The fact is, if Gus was a little more accurate on 3 or 4 passes, you lose last week too...

 And you're obviously someone that reads what they want to or you'd have read where I said that most of my comments can be said for most teams in most games, but that we seem to excel at it so far this year. Also, everything I stated is a fact, not an excuse. I gave examples of every play where points should have been put on the board and were not or where points were scored against us thanks to our own unforced errors.. those are facts, not excuses

I was going to post a reply about how the Bucs could have won 49-6 if certain plays had gone differently but that would be pointless.

what plays ....you guy didnt get anything called back or dropped passess that couldve been TD.....just like the homer fan you are coming on here after you win and saying we couldve won 49-6 lol ...take your win and go

Ronde Barber and Derrick Brooks both got hit in the hands* with passes when there would have been nothing but a few thousand blades of grass between them and the endzone. If Pittman picked up a blitz better on Simms second series then Simms would have had time to hit Galloway who had two steps on Madison down the sideline. That's 3 plays that could have been another 21 points off the top of my head.

And, by the way, I've been here for weeks saying that the Fins aren't that bad of a team. I wonder if the Dolphins really did underestimate the Bucs the same way the Dolfans did.

He has every right. If we won, you would be saying where are the Bucs fans now. They beat us. Clearly the Jets are one up on us I guess. Where is the game plan. Is that part of the plan....to have a penalty on the first play every week.

I say bring back Don Shula, and appoint him Assistant Coach of Penalties. He would never have allowed the penalties to happen, or continue. I never used to think that it was a great thing to be the least penalized team year after year under him.
Now I kow why it's a big deal.
