Ive said it before and I will say it again, after 2 drafts and 2 off seasons of them being able to bring in free agents...
The whole philosophy of this regime is a problem. It looks a lot like the Wannstedt era. No skill guys, average at best defense, run run run, play field position, control the clock and hope to squeak one out in the 4th. Parcells got a hard on from last weeks game. 2 special teams tds, a defensive td and hold them on 4th down when they are going in for the win in the final minute, thats how he wants to win game in and game out. They refuse to go out and get guys that will put point on the board quickly.
Every time we play a good qb with good skill guys we get beat and cant hold a lead. That is the difference between last year and this year. Last year we didnt play or beat good qbs, we always got the seneca wallace's and saun hill's of the world. And we only had 13 turnovers the whole season which may never happen again. This is a big problem with this regime. He thinks its 87 and he has the Giants defense that plays lights out and refuses to see its a whole new era where you need the guys who are a threat to go 70 yards on any given play. But I am affraid he wont change from this thinking and next year will be more of the same.
I dont want to hear he is going to go out and draft a receiver because you dont know what you are going to get and those guys usually take a couple years to develop. He needs to go out and trade picks for a proven guy or open up the check book and sign one via free agency. I cant back up the whole "We are stock piling picks and shouldnt trade them" when we are drafting Pat White in the 2nd round to be a gimmick qb when we could have made a play for a guy like Brandon Marshall or Chad Johnson.
- Still need a whole new linebacking core
- Old at NT position, nothing in store there for the future
- Need to overhaul safeties
- Need #1 and #2 receivers
- $150 million oline that cant pass block
- No TE's
