I'm sure alot of peope avoided this one based on the title but I think I have a good question

I've heard Saban say multiple times that the second stringers do not get as many reps as the starters. I've also heard that J. Allen is used on alot for our scout team such as to imitate troy palimalou one wk. And now he's being used in on alot of SP. What i'm wondering is this guy even getting much of a chance to learn our system and is being given the best situation to win the starting job or is he being thrown in all these other situations? To me it sounds like he's being stuck everywhere else but not getting the reps he should be. This is all speculation based on what Saban has said and it's not like i'm at the practices so how can we really know for sure. I guess i'm just wondering if anyone else has thought of this.

Jason Allen should be our starting safety over Hill, but we dont know how we will react until we start him.

It looks like ppl are avoiding your speculation but i agree with that they arent giving him the time of day...i believe they should start him against Houston....hes not goin to make the secondary any worse and i mean it is Houston....they drafted him soo it is about time they use him...but hey i amd just a fan soo they will not listen and?or not even read this... soo it would probably be best not to complain....right?

No Hill should be there, very good in run support, Tillman needs to go

Tillman is garbage, let the promising, yet green rookie play. How bad could it be? Every game Tillman is screwing up!

I think Saban is working on Allen's technique still. Once he feels comfortable with Allen's technique I guess he'll start him

why would you draft a guy that high, give 'em 15 million dollar signing bonus, and not play him in a secondary that consists of castoffs from other teams?
he must really be baaaaaddddd!

i would think he would atleast get some playin time.

If i remember Allen didnt have the best pre-season and we gave up some serious big plays on D regarding stopping the Pass. I think Saban has a long memory and doesnt want to take what must be a risk with Allen if he isnt ready.

Jason Allen was a waste of a draft pick. Its not going to make a difference if he plays or not. They took Allen way to high. He is never going to be a great player in this league.

im really worried thats true, BUT its honestly way way too early to say that yet. ill hold off judgment on being a bust until he atleast gets his chance. i would really love to see this defense with a hard hitter back that that can cause havoc against the run and in coverage.

You'd like to see Allen get some garbage time reps during the early portion of the season. Problem is, unless you can manage to build up a decent lead against someone, there really is no such thing as garbage time.
