I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere yet...but given the past couple of years for Mularkey, I don't see him bailing on us in the real near future to chase after a HC job. Not that it was all his fault, things just didn't work out in Buffalo for him and I think, so long as he does his job well here, he could be here for the long haul.

actually, if you want to describe what happened in buffalo, you can simply say

(edit)hit the fan.

i mean i think anything that could have gone wrong for buffalo this season, did.

Mod Edit: Please don't circumvent the profanity filter.

Buffalo this year was almost as bad as us previous year. They made him play JP Losman behind a crappy injury riddled Oline. Blaming Mularkey isn't really fair given the circumstances.

Now I do think that he's cut out ot be an O-coordinator, not head coach. He didn't have many shining moments/decisions.

He's the head coach so it all fell on his shoulders. I understand he's on our team now and every one wants to take the blame off of him for everything that went wrong in BUF, but just like wanny and our crappy o-line/team last year, it all falls on the head coach :)

I think Mike knows enough about the head coaching job in the NFL now that he will pick and choose his next opportunity. He won't jump at just any head coaching opportunity. It will have to be the right one.

My thoughts exactly. I don't know if MM will ever want to be HC again.

Any word on our player's opinions?

As I recall, he and Moulds didn't particularly mould too well.

NM. Time will tell.

I don't think anyone would want him as a head coach, he may get another opportunity, but he was a disaster. Last season they beat up on a bunch of bad teams to raise expectations. Mularkey was terrible talking to the Buffalo media, and I don't think he had any control of the Bills locker room. Jp Losman should never of been benched, but because Mularkey had no control of the locker room he was. Now I thought Mularkey was a pretty good OC in Pittsburgh, he did make Maddox and Slash pro-bowlers I believe. The biggest negative about him is his personnel packages, he would routinely take out McGahee to put in Shaud Williams even on 3rd and short, and would run some crazy gadget plays. I think the biggest example of his bad play-calling was the Bills/Phins game when Losman through the int to Madison on the goalline.

Mularkey's wife is from Florida...she said take the job or ride the couch. :D

I think he's a short timer here. Especially if we are good next year on O.

He quit in Buffalo, I dont think he signed here with the intention of seeking another HC position anytime soon.

Hey, it may be like Wanny. He was a great DC but a terrible HC. I think that under Saban's direction He'll do good things here.

Is it just me or does he remind anyone else of Kevin Costner?

I was thinking the same thing....I'm lazy but i'm sure someone else will pull up the "Seperated at Birth" thread.
