As high as we were after the New England game, we've sunk to a mighty depth with these horrific, non-emotional losses. I've read many of the angry threads after our loss to the Jets today. Most want some major change in the coaching staff and Ireland to be fired.

Looking for a cause and effect to our monumental loss , I thought back to the Incognito/Martin drama:

Is it possible that the team already knew their fate as it relates to the Inognito/Martin ruling 2 week ago? Are the coaches at fault? Other players? Maybe I'm just looking for some reason of just falling off the planet?

Yeah I guess it's possible. So hopefully, if that's the case, the result will be a massive purge.

I think that players have lost faith in this staff...and quite possibly the 800 lb gorilla (tony dungy!)in the locker room is ready to clean house. My greatest hope is that Philbin and Ireland are now lame ducks.
If Ross has something up his sleeve, it would restore my faith in him as the owner.
Right now, my opinion of Ross is beneath Ireland.

dont bother. Losing and medicrity is the Miami Lolphin way. Theres no explaining it. Its just a loser franchise

And what was the Martin/Incognito ruling two weeks ago?

I think they play to the level of their opponent. They had some solid wins throughout the year. Then they had some unspeakable losses to teams you would expect them to beat based on beating teams like Cincy, NE and the Colts. So no, I don't think the cog/martin stuff played a role. Good thought though.

Played to the level of their opponent? No, i think they looked past the Jets, they figured it would be the same easy game they had in Jersey. And the fact your coach sucks, doesnt seem like a motivating type of coach.

I don't think there has been a public announcement of the ruling. But suppose "the powers that be" in the organization were aware of the ruling, it could be deflating. If the team got wind of the news that could explain how flat and lifeless this team looked. I just can't believe that the team would be that bad with so much at stake, particularly with the challenges this team had faced all season. Besides these last 2 games, we played all our games very close and competitively.

I'm just trying to rationalize an angle that we shall all know more about in the coming months.
