“If you look at the season like a game, we played the first quarter. We sure don’t have the results after the first quarter that we want, being 1-3. That’s for sure. There are still three quarters to play, and everybody needs to look forward to the opportunities that we have in those three quarters in doing the things that we need to do to improve, so that we can be a good team. Another way you can look at it if you can’t understand that is the field is 100 yards deep. Some teams are up to the 35-yard line, and we’re about at the 12 but we still have 88 yards to go. We need to be focused in all what we need to do to get there, those 88 yards. That’s the approach we’re using. That’s what I believe in. That’s what we’re going to do. Some things we need to fix, there’s no doubt about that. We’re going to try to fix it where we can fix it. Some things we need to improve on, we’re going to improve on it. That’s what we need to do, sometimes with the players we have here because there are no other solutions. But I believe in the players that we have here, and I think we can play better as a team and that’s what we’re going to focus on.

It’s only going to change when everybody decides, ‘I’m going to change.’ Just like last year after the Cleveland game, everybody decided that ‘I’m going to change. I’m going to do something different, so I don’t continue to get the same results.’ If you continue to do what you’ve always done, you’re going to continue to get what you’ve always gotten. That’s guaranteed. We need to do a better job as coaches to get the technical execution. We need all the players to have a willingness to have the sense of urgency, the sense of immediacy, whatever you want to call it – play with the intelligence so that they get it right.
“Now, you’re going to ask me, ‘How do you do that?’ I’m telling you. That’s how you do it, and that’s the only way you do it – in your business, my business, or anybody’s business. That’s how you do it, and if someone doesn’t want to change, they are not going to change. If they don’t do it, then we need to play somebody else. It’s as simple as that.

And please bring Murlakey's down to the sidelines, he needs to be in the game with the players!!

Why? Bringing Joey in isn't going to make anything better. Play Dante he's the best option.

Just keep telling yourself that. Eventually you will see the light. Daunte is a washed up, overrated, running QB with no mobility. He is not a pocket passer, isn't good at reading defenses, takes way too long to get rid of the ball, and just plain makes too many bad plays. The Dolphins will never be a good team with this guy leading the offense. Saban made a major mistake betting the future on this guy and will keep losing games as long as Dauntes running the ship.

Answer to our problems = Charlie Baggett!

He & about 3-4 new offensive lineman.

Bench Culpepper and we'll start winning games.

If we bench C-pep and put Joey in and he gets sacked 5 times a game yet throws for slighlty better stats, has recievers drop balls, receives horrible play calls from the coaches, and still loses games are you still going to say that C-pep is what's wrong with this team. Do you honestly think that putting harrington in will magically change the play of the O-line? Do you think that by him playing the play calling will be better? Do you think if we bench C-pep and put Joey it will stop the ******s on the O-line from false starting? You give up way too easily... thank god your not the head coach!

Yes, I think putting in Harrington will give the offense a chance to get in sync. When the QB is playing horrible, it makes the entire offense play horrible. He is the field general making it all happen. Right now Daunte is playing terrible and we should give Harrington a shot. Contrary to your assessment of me, that isn't giving up, that's trying something else when things aren't working. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over when it isn't working. That's what the Dolphins are doing right now. LOL.

GO PHINS~!

What were we thinking!!! you're right... lets just keep doing what we are doing... im sure it will get better... just like we said after the 1st loss..... and then the 2nd loss..... and then the crappy win..... and you know what lets just continue to pretend that culpepper will MAGICALLY get better.... He sucked after moss left.... and no one has seen him play good yet.... but hey im sure he'll come around right??? no one is in a hurry to see their team win a super bowl ( thats including the players)

the only solution to a horrible o-line in pass protection is to run the ball take the blitz away the one game we won ronnie had like 26 carries it will take a ton of pressure off the line, why arent we running the ball ??? does anybody agree with me or am i just ******ed please be honest. comments will be appreciated because i have been wondering if im the only one that thinks running more will help this team?

So what your saying is the Daunte is causing the O-line to play horribly? Daunte designed the playbook and has total freedom to audible any play he happens to come up with? Daunte caused booker to slip on the trick play Daunte called in the huddle?

Wow, youre right! Daunte is at fault. Why would we ever think that he could succeed? I mean, when has he ever succeed. We should put in a QB that has historically played better than Daunte... when I find him I'll let you know.

You clearly missed the point of my post. Youre putting ALL the blame for each loss sqaurely on Daunte's shoulders. My point is that we should focus on improving the O-lines play and focus on calling better plays (going no huddle seemed to work) and run the ball more often with Brown.

The best solution to the blitz is to make them pay by hitting the open man. That's what Dan the Man used to do so good. He LOVED teams to blitz cause that means someone is roaming free. Daunte isn't doing his job and that's why teams keep blitzing. Running the ball is real tough when the entire LOS is crowded with 8 or 9 players.

I agree, but we should replace Daunte also. He isn't able to beat the blitzes by finding the open man. That's causing the LOS to get crowded, making the OL look worse than they are.

BAN ME!!!, no wait...

Saban's job is to win. It is not to make himself look good, by not putting in the better quarterback. I don't believe that Saban would keep Culpepper in just because he brought him in, because he brought Joey also. That leads me to believe that Saban thinks that Culpepper would have a better of winning him football games. I'm behind Culpepper, for atleast 2 years, which is about as long as it takes to recover from his knee injury. Remember I still want the best players in game; If we get Manning tomorrow I'd want him to start.
