I know I got a little upset yesterday because I'm so sick of giving up draft choices, but if Fasano can turn out to be like Mark Bavaro, I'd jump for joy.:D
Fasano is the best combination TE on the team. He's an outstanding blocker and has soft hands. He isn't fast, but he has a knack for finding the open spot in the defense and he runs good routes. At this stage in his career he is being compared with former Irish great, Mark Bravaro...Expect Anthony to have another solid season and with the potential to hit the 40 reception mark.

Fasano is an excellent blocker . . . I could see him and Martin (I haven't completely given up on him) forming a nice tandem as a blocking and receiving TE . . . this is a POWER offense . . . and will run several 2 TE sets . . . if u do the math . . . that means FB will be less likely to see the fiedl . . . and alot of 2 WR sets . . . which may mean that WR might not be AS big of a priority . . . and that we will focus ALOT on Defense and get a LG in this draft. Obviously u don't know who falls so it.

Smash mout football . . . . my favorite brand.

Yeah. The dolphins are going to be like those old Redskins offenses when they had the hogs.

Two tight end sets with some massive O-lineman and power football ready to knock your head off.

You older guys remember the those Redskins teams in the late 80's and early 90's. Well, Miami is going to be built just like those Redskins teams that won a couple super bowls at that time.

I don't want no power football teams. I want a balance football team.If Beck turns out to be great I want to see us pass.

All because you're built on power doesn't mean you'll never pass.

Those Redskin teams passed quite a bit. Rypien was throwing the ball around during a time there, and they had some really good receivers and a tight end. . But their bread and butter was running the ball and being very good at it.

ps- I see you are 18 years old so you're just a kid and didn't see those Redskins teams of the late 80's/early 90's I was referring to.. You've probably never heard of the infamous "Hogs" then,

Believe me, you should be wishing we could have an offense as good as the skins of the 80's, not bitching and complaining about it.

Fasano was a second round pick who really hasn't played much behind Witten. Giving up a fourth for both HE and a starting LB in Ayodele makes this trade well worth it if you ask me.

When I think power football team, that means we can either run or pass on 3rd and 3 or 4. Right now, its a pass or a run and punt. A power football team would open up the passing game. It will help Beck.

Fassano is no Bravo and never will be. But he has the ability to be our starter at best and a very good number two at worst. We will run a lot of two TE sets and three TE sets in short yard situations and goal line.

Speaking of the Hogs, I see alot of similarities there with this Miami O-line.

The massive 6'7 LT , the leader of the line and incredibly tough Joe Jacoby is mirrored by Jake Long

The center, Jeff Bostic, was very Samson Satele'esque

With Vernon Carey, I see alot of Mark May. Almost an exact replica..

And Smiley looks like th rugged tough Russ Grimm.

Now, we just need to get another Raleigh McKenzie to stick at LG and we will have our Hogs Version 2.0 in Miami.

Strength Well rounded tight end who needs to develop more strength to improve his blocking skills. Courageous receiver not afraid to lay out to make the difficult catch.

Let me just start off by sayin his first two years in the NFL were behind witten scouts believe he needed help on blocking, so if now his blocking is getting praises and his strength were his catching ability wouldnt u think a fourth round pick for just him would have been good now you throw in a LB and u took care of two team needs with one pick when the history of the fourth round picks are pretty much busts.

Local radio sports guys are sayin we raped the cowboys with this trade. I feel guilty! NOT!!!

I was upset when I heard we traded our 4th round pick but when I got home and saw the details I was happy with it...when do you get 2 starters with a 4th round pick?...now I just hope we get a 2 and a 4 or 5 for JT and we're set....also look for us to maybe trade down from 32 to get an extra pick.

Ozzy rules!!

I'm starting to get a good feeling about this offense and I KNOW special teams will be much better simply because they have much better players. As for the defense.....? How do you guys see the defense shaping up?
