Title is self explanatory. Can someone please explain how Fassano scares defenses? Can someone explain why a guy that drops so many passes every year is still our starting TE?

i bashed fasano in like 3 posts today
The reason he is still the starting tightend
is because the FO likes how he can get open
and he has made plays in the past and bonus he is from dallas..

Though Fasano makes really bone headed plays
costly turnovers and when fasano gets in a funk
he will make several bad plays in a row a very streaky player...

Why Ireland has not tried to upgrade the position is beyond me
Nailbone was a flop pick
I guess they hopping clay gets with the program..

Doesn't matter who is TE, Henne can't hit them in stride.

The defender was on Fasano's outside shoulder. The ball was where it had to be for the receiver to catch it and for the defender to not have a play on the ball. If a ball hits a receiver in the hands, 10 times out of 10 they will be at fault for the interception.

no excuses he should have caught it but henne hardly throws a catchable ball. nor does he consstent hit the receiver in stride or between the numbers. guys are always diving for his passes n turning thier bodies in the wrong direction to catch his passes.. moore is better n he has great footwork.. something henne still hasnt learned.

He sucks. I have been saying that for awhile now yet for some reason people think that since he had 8 td catches or whatever a few years ago, that he somehow is an elite TE. Seriously? Someone even had the audacity to actually say he is an "elite" TE in by citing some stupid article about dropped balls. The guy is a number 2 that wasn't even the number one the year he caught those td passes. Our offense IIRC sucked that year as usual and he was about the only option in the red zone. He can't even catch more than 39 balls in a season

Botton line here is that the pass was perfectly catchable and FASANO was the sole reason that pass was intercepted. You cannot expect a qb to throw the ball perfectly every time. I was always taught in football that if you can get your hands on it, especially 2 hands, you have to make the catch.

A good TE is essential to a young QB. Fasano is a good backup, not starting caliber.

The defender was on Fasano's outside shoulder. The ball was where it had to be for the receiver to catch it and for the defender to not have a play on the ball. If a ball hits a receiver in the hands, 10 times out of 10 they will be at fault for the interception.
The agenda is obvious bro, no point to respond anymore.

nobody has replied on how Fassano scares defenses. I guess the case is closed. Fassano scares no one.

I went through every team. 24 teams have better starting TE's but lets just be good choir boys here and pretend everything is a-ok with Fassano as our starting TE. 16 of those teams have TE's that can take over a game. The position has evolved into a critical position in this league, especially for the success of the passing game.

O Henne doesn't throw a catchable ball - how about Fasano's fumbles?? Is this Henne's fault too? And all the economic issues pinning that on Henne? How about Pat White's inability to stick Naps was that also Henne's fault?
