Anthony Fassano is the guy that should have been bashed all day today.

dont you know according to some on these boards it was hennes fault that the defense looked bad in the first qrt. it was hennes fault on moores interception, it was hennes fault that we missed that fg, i was hennes fault the reciver dropped the ball, i have never seen so many people cry over a pre-season scrimage game

Rofl. Defending Henne. Good one.

not really defending him, but according to some on here hes was the only problem on friday and everyone else gets a free pass, using peoples logic bess should be demoted for that drop pass and are starting defense should also for that poor outing , but no ones complaining about those,

Bess has proven to be a starter and this defense has proven to be a top 10 defense. Henne has proven that he sucks. There's a difference.

The dolphins should of traded for Greg Olson big time.

no excuses he should have caught it but henne hardly throws a catchable ball. nor does he consstent hit the receiver in stride or between the numbers. guys are always diving for his passes n turning thier bodies in the wrong direction to catch his passes..

This is one of the best observations I've heard in all of the rampant criticism of Henne around here. It does seem like backs and receivers struggle to catch his throws...even when they're open.

One drop in a preseason game and the retarded wolves come out to feast.

Fasano was really feeding the wolves tonight...

i have no doubt in my mind henne will not continue as starter for long...not wth moore moving the ball up and down the field. I know its one game, but we have seen enough of henne already to come to a conclusion by now. Theres no more time to waste in trying to develop this guy. A big talker? all we do is talk on here. What else is there to do, you think you know more than me because we disagree on henne's future?

You had no doubt in your mind and have no current doubt in your mind that Pat White shoud be the starter - speaks volumes

Fasano got the extention last year after the Tennessee game(surely no coincidence it happened after his only big game since 2008) and this board applauded in unison. I thought I was in a bizzaro finheaven. The guy is plodding and drops alot of passes, brings nothing as far as pass catching and scaring defenses. He blocks, which makes him a solid #2. In the 2010 draft, these guys passed on Hernandez, Gronkowski, Graham, etc for who? John Jerry...yup a vintage Parcells/Ireland/Sparano pick. ANOTHER offensive lineman.

Come to think of, given the description I just gave of Fasano's abilities, I can see why these guys are in love with him.

This regime missed on a TE TWO years in a row. They passed on Jimmy Graham for John Jerry in 2010, and passed on several solid FA/tradeable TE's that could have been had in this one.

Fasano is ok, he doesn't threaten a defense like a #1 TE should and he is more of a plodder. He is a decent blocker, but the description I gave is of a #2 TE. Miami can get away with Fasano as the #1 . . . if Charles Clay, or anybody can threaten the seams of a defense like David Martin did in 2008. Maybe that guy is Clay, but its clear this regime hasn't put a priority on the position.

Since they have been here, we used a 4th rounder to acquire Fasano (and Ayodele) and a 6th rounder on Clay. Throw in a bunch of UDFA' and an injury prone David Martin . . . that is hardly addressing the position like it needs to be addressed.
