Steen started the season sharing the left-guard spot with Jesse Davis. In Miami's season-opening game, Steen played 46 snaps and Davis played 22. Against the Jets, Steen played 39 snaps and Davis played 24. In the Dolphins' third game, Steen played 43 snaps and Davis played nine. In Sunday's 16-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans, Steen played all 59 offensive snaps and Davis didn't play any.
"Right now, it looks like he's kind of found his role," Gase said of Steen this week, "and thought he was doing well enough to deserve that opportunity to play an entire, whole game.

He's been full time for 2 weeks. Gase ended the rotation

May not necessarily be ideal, but at least now he can build more rapport with Tunsil and Pouncey the longer he's out there.

His play has been much more solid than the more athletic Jessie Davis, who has been dreadful.

We need Bushrod to step his game up as he has struggled, similar to early on last year, but he got better as the season went on and hopefully the same happens here.

Also Tunsil has to be a rock for Cutler.

Seemed rather silly to have rotational O-linemen. Not quite on the level of Henne/White rotation at QB, but still silly

HA! I like how they admitted afterwards they knew White couldn't pass and were actually a nervous wreck whenever they rolled him out there. Shows you what they thought of Henne too. Remember when according to finheaven the wildcat was breaking Henne's rythem or better yet Henning was handcuffing the great QB waiting to break out? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHJAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Watching Steen pull is quite painful, as long as he is playing OG in a phone-booth he's good. Sucks about Jesse Davis flopping considering the time, money, and roster spot they've spent on his development.

Compare with the rest of the line, he plays okay. Not saying much.

Jesse Davis was one of the surprises of the pre season. He looked good at both run and pass blocking but now apparently looks like garbage and can't even beat out Steen. How in the hell do these players go from doing well to total crap? Blows my mind.

Gase's management doesn't allow you to build rythm or confidence.

Still has a lot of time. Very raw player. Doesn't help that Tunsil has had some struggles as well

If you listen to PFF, the OL has some decent individual performances. Steen and Pouncey supposedly rated high last week if you listen to them. Tunsil and James grade out as average at least. The problem is those rankings are hard to take seriously when there is no where to run for backs and the pocket collapses constantly. The unit lacks tough guys, intensity, motor, you name it.

The few times they do their job, Cutler hears imaginary footsteps. Cutler’s biggest weakness, among many, is he panics, has happy feet, throws off his back foot for no reason, and doesn’t care about any of the foregoing. You’d swear you were watching a young, terrified, Blaine Gabbert.
