Below is the list for the Jim Thorpe awards and some of their accomplishments. Now, if we examine this mathmatically we will see a very clear picture of the risk or IMO lack their of in drafting this very solid CB and of course 2007 Jim Thorpe award winner.
Of the 21 DB who won the JT award only 6 (29%) of them have been busts. they share 20 probowl selections and many productive years in the league. That's why the risk of picking a player like Cason at 2a is actually in our best interest. Most of these guys were hight 1st round picks.
