Antonio Brown Trade Likely By Friday

First they trade him to Buffalo, now they trade him to Oakland. Pittsburgh really is trying to banish him to Siberia

Glad that deal didn't come to South Beach. The pics the Raiders gave away are a steal for AB but that contract....oof.

The contract represents his value and, actually, is still low.

There is a more important reason we didn't need it: We don't have our QB yet.

And that is why we shouldn't reach this year. We don't have the QB to justify paying elite play makers. And we also don't have the other components yet to support a QB.

Build the OL and D.
Get the QB.
Get the playmakers.

Honestly, unless Carr is their future OR they are drafting their QB this year, this will ultimately be a bad move for Oakland.

AB caused problems because of how Pittsburgh handled his guaranteed money.. moreso than his contract.

But you don't let an outspoken playmaker come in and dictate your locker room. So, once he got his new money, he needed to come into a situation that already had a QB leading the organization. This is the misstep in Gruden's plan. He doesn't have his QB yet. AB gets to set the tone.

Looks like the Pats were one of 3 teams that didn't get Antonio Brown.

Antonio Brown shares audio of trade talks; Patriots, Eagles, Titans apparently pursued him

Antonio Brown's trade market never seemed to explode, considering the Pittsburgh Steelers received just two mid-round draft picks in exchange for the perennial All-Pro wide receiver earlier this month.

But that doesn't mean some of the NFL's best teams didn't speak with the Steelers about landing the Pro Bowler.

In a March 18 episode of "The Boomin Experience Podcast," Brown himself shares audio of a phone call with his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. And in the clip, Rosenhaus reveals that both the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots were among teams that pursued A.B. before Pittsburgh ultimately dealt the mercurial talent to the Oakland Raiders.
