Cleveland released antonio perkins. Don't know much about the guy, but i know he was a 4th rd. pick in 05' and didn't see the field much. But the guy is very fast and has decent size for a corner. Does any1 know a little more about the guy and do you think we should bring him in for a look?

Perkins is more of a return specialist than he is a CB.

If you think back a few years, Perkins is the returner who set a NCAA record for returns for a touchdown in a game with three against UCLA and finished his career with eight returns for touchdowns tying him with Wes Welker for the most all-time.

I agree 100%. I remember Perkins at Oklahoma. Our team has a return specialist in Tedd Ginn. We have no use for Perkins. We need to utilize Ginn in the return game while he learns how to be a better receiver.

Trust me..........no.

I mean the guy is a young corner who has raw talent and some potential. He isn't ready to start and make an immediate impact, but with his speed he could be an asset on defense and an impact in the long run. We really don't have any young athletic corners on this team, and since we didn't draft any this year, a pickup like perkins could see some payoffs later on.

We don't? Travis Daniels, Jason Allen, Shirdonya Mitchell, Geoff Pope, Tuff Harris and Derrick Johnson all have less than three years of experience.
