Drake? I for one would like to see what he can do with some meaningful reps.

No. We need Ajayi's pass pro to help us get off to a good start. That's my take.

Drake is a good choice, and I wouldn't mind Pead starting either. A question I'd ask is if there is any chance Gase starts the game like we did in the second half last week

would this be pulling a fast one? i think ajayi, williams (or pead if he's active) and drake will all get snaps out of the backfield. does it matter who takes snap #1?

I like drake (unlike all the other rbs) but not yet

Drake is going to be a very useful draft choice after all... caroo on the other hand...

Drake won't start, he still barely knows where to lone up and what to do when tannehill calls plays. Gase specifically mentioned that today or yesterday about Drake. He's also not ready to pass protect on a normal basis.

IMO Williams will get the start. Not great between the tackles, but they trust his pass protection and receiving ability, and he can also bounce it outside pretty well.

Drake still might end up the most productive on the stat sheet though, because when he plays there is a good chance Gase/Tannehill are looking to get him the ball.

IMO, Ajayi gets the start and Gase, during their conversation this week, has let him know that due to his prior attitude and fumbling this is his last chance

It's obvious to me that RT is most comfortable in a no huddle, fast paced short passing offense, and if that happens I do see Drake playing a lot. He may not start but he's very dangerous as a pass catcher out of the backfield, which is a Gase staple. I might even argue that he is the best playmaker we have back there. It remains to be seen what he can do with more reps, but what the hell can we lose at this point? Foster can't stay on the field, Ajayi is obviously not the guy and both Williams and Pead are guys who I like and could see getting a lot more reps as well. I will go on record and say that Drake will be a major factor this year and maybe sooner than you think. This would be a great game to see what he can do.

I bet that Damien Williams is active. Gase talked about the importance of protecting the QB and the progress made by Ajayi and Drake, but Williams is the best in this capacity and also solid on Special Teams.
I would seriously consider making Jakeem Grant inactive, using either Landry or Drake for KR/PR duties. I am a fan of Jakeem but with the active spots limited, Williams' protection talent is needed.

That would not really surprise me, at this point I really don't care who carries the rock first.

I would be pleasantly surprised if Tannehill keeps it on a bootleg and gets 8-9 yards running out of bounds or Jakeem Grant lining up wide to come back to shuffle pass up the middle

Ajayi should retire. Start Drake definitely. Ajayi fumbles are getting old. Plus his 2 yard runs are terrible. If Gase don't start Drake. Gase is a moron
