Any chance the Fins make a run at Vontae?

This is a huge insult to Madison and Surtain. Those two were excellent corners for years and years. Grimes may be as good, but has only shown one year in Miami. Vontae .... child please. Let's talk about him after two or three years and see where he is at.

Don't fool yourself. Principal Philbin was THE reason VD was traded. He didn't like his work ethic so that made him expendable... Ireland just worked out the deal, he wasn't the reason behind it.
 
Normally I'd fear NE getting him, but they'll never pay anything near what he's asking for. The only way he leaves Indy is if some team with a lot of cap and is in desperate need of CB throws crazy $$ at him. Otherwise Indy will let him go waste time taking the crazy money tour and then come back to him with a reasonable offer somewhere near what Grimes got. He'll never come back here because our coaches don't want him and the FO will not pay that much for two CB's with all the other needs we have right now.

Why dont we bring back the reincarnation of Jamar Fletcher.. How about Reggie Howard? Nolan Carroll is better Vontae. Funny how noone recalls the 50 yard completion Vontae would give up every game. Does anyone recall how lethargic he got during TC of 2012? How about showing up to practice hungover? A second and a 6th for him was a steal.

One of the best Ireland moves, and those were few and far between

I don't know about Carroll being better than Vontae but I agree with almost everything else you said.

Oh by the way, we only got a 2nd round pick for Vontae because he didn't play enough snaps for the Colts in 2012.
 
You guys have to look past his natural ability, his ranks, states, etc.

And ask yourself, do I really want to hand all this money to this guy, and depend on a guy, with my job and career on the line, to a guy as dumb as vontae?

It becomes a really simple answer once you look at things that way.

Dumb is an understatement. I want smart football players on my team. Athletic ability only gets you so far.
 
Davis is very good in run support. Our edges will be much stronger with him over Carroll. For a fair price, I would bring him back.
Davis and Grimes would be pretty good.

We could also bring him back and trade him again.
