Any chance we go after Rivers?

Im just wondering what are the odds of us getting phillip Rivers from San Diego and him being our starting QB

Is he still any good or what?
 
there is always a chance, but we won't get him. And that is probably a good thing.
 
I still think were going to end up with a Decent QB before next season. Thats for sure

I cant give any Odds but the earlier comments from the Fins FO mean squat they said they werent intrested... OF COURSE they would say that!!! its was like week 6 and they cant give away interest it would kill the QBs on the rosters confidence and put the Chargers asking price through the roof.
 
How come nobody hated Rivers last year, and now everyone hates the poor guy. He throws a good deep ball from what I have seen.
 
What's the chance this exact same thread won't be posted again in the next 24 hours? I'd say whatever the chances of that are the chances we go after Rivers. Now off to start another "draft scenerio" thread.. lol

actually dude the knock on Rivers is his arm strength..maybe you were watching Brees.
 
Maybee as a last resort or second to last.
1st-Try to draft one either in the first(Leinart,Young, Quinn, or Cutler) or later (Hackney, Whitehurst, Pinnegar, or Shockley).
2nd- Free Agent Hopefuls (Brees, Carr, Harrington, Grosman).
3rd-Trade for someone(Rivers or Schaub).
4th(and hopefuly not)-Not Get anyone and Lemons are franchise QB.

I know exactly who I am talking about. The kid from NC. Good deep ball. Not really great arm strength, but a good deep ball.
 
I hope we get Rivers or Young as a QB


But all i want for christmas is Kay-Jay Harris back to like #3 RB...lol

actually rivers has a very in consistant deep ball that leaves a lot to be desired.....

I have been wondering the same thing. Crazy ebb and flow in fandom.

I'd still take Rivers in a heartbeat for our #1. If they want much more than that, I don't bite. But the same is true of any of the a-list QBs in this draft, too.
 
Why would you want rivers? He doesnt fit our offense at all, and he is basically an unproven player, its just like drafting a rookie, except in a rookie you may actually get a good arm
 
Because Rivers is as good a bet as he was when he was drafted and those of us who liked him then should still like him now.

His arm is no worse than Leinart's, for example. And he is head and shoulders above any qb we have now and probably better sooner than anyone we get in this draft.
