I'm going to the game this weekend in Denver. I'm staying at a hotel downtown and going to make a weekend out of it. I never been there before, so I was wondering if anyone could give me any info.

One of the best things about going to Fins games in different cities is getting to experience some different nightlife. How are the bars in Denver? Is there a particular area to go and how late do they stay open? More importantly, how are the ladies? A bunch of snobby goldiggers? Or cool chicks that like to have a good time?

How are the fans in Denver? I don't mind some good-nature smack-talking, but I hope they're not a-holes like the fans in Buffalo or Oakland...

I'm hoping this is a fun city. Any info anyone can provide would be appreciated....Thanks.

Go Fins!!!

Beautiful city. Been there. Lived in Co Springs for 2 years via Ft. Lauderdale then back to Tampa. You'll love it.

I live about 100 miles south of Denver. Lodo has some good bars. Its the area around Coors field. The fans are usually pretty good. Went to the Sunday night game a couple of years ago, which we won, and the fans were very respectful and I am sure if you are interested in some good natured smack you will have your wish fulfilled.

I used to work for a Surf/Wakeboard shop that was actually based out of Denver (weird huh) so i would go out there all the time to snowboard.

People are really nice, its actually a pretty cool place. Literally

Good looking women-check
fun women-check
gold diggers-check arent they everywhere
bars till around 2am I think seems to be the norm around CO
some gentleman clubs stay open a lot later though if that is you thing.
You will have fun in Denver-check

Hey I can see it from my front yard.

You know besides the rattle snakes on the so called beaches. And the guys with 100k boats going around in circles it's fun.

Funny story.

I bought pens for a business there and was told I was in the drawing for a brand new 8 passenger boat with motor. I was even more elated when I got the letter stating I was a finalist. Can you believe it, brand new boat, Me?? Finally I got the notice that I won :woot:. The boat would be delivered to my house. Well, I scrambled and quickly called them up to tell them I'm at work and to please deliver it to my work. I also asked if I needed to pay the taxes and registration fees and was told that has already been paid by the merchant that gave away the boat. Woohoo I screamed in joy awaiting my toy. I told the wonderful customer service agent I had a truck with a 2 inch ball on the hitch. In which she replied great. I had to wait approx. 3 weeks for the arrival of my new pride and joy as I skipped around the house to my wife who constantly berated my winning. Not knowing what I'm truly capable of! Finally the day arrived, the big moment. I was dillegently at work. When a fellow co-worker told me my prize had arrived with a smile on their face. I quickly ran out the back door careless of any work left behind. To see a box with my name on it from the pen company. It must have been the coast guard kit as I tore open the box. To my dismay when I finally got the box open it was a raft with a 10 inch fan motor (batteries not included). And yes I took it out on the dang Pueblo resevoir and It sank the first time out. I still can't live with my wife's I told you so from over 10 years ago.....:(

I hope you enjoyed my pain....:beer1:

I live here and I am going to the game also. Hope to see a lot of Aqua in the stands. Lodo is the place to go at night. It is the downtown area around coors field from 17th-21st. Lots of bars to choose from and chicks are cool. I hope you are not sitting in the South stands thats where the a-hole broncos fans are. Enjoy the game we should come out of this with a win.

Thanks for the info... I'm actually on the east side of the stadium (sec. 120 row 28). Actually got it on ticketmaster for 1/2 price. I think they still have some available... Hopefully there's a lot of aqua in that section

Amazing city, great people. Old college buddy of mine lives up there now, so I'm up there fairly often. Everytime I'm there, I get taken to some of the best punk-rock clubs and bars I've ever seen. I wish I could remember the names, but I'm usually pretty drunk when I'm up there. Oh, and as far as the ladies, I give it an A-. Its nothing compared to the Arizona ladies, but still fairly impressive......

I will be in sec. 121 row 23. Since I moved here. I've been to 3 other Denver games including the one in 04 when they beat the phins. I've had pretty mixed experiences with Denver fans. In 04 they weren't that bad really. We sat behind the Miami bench and I think they felt sorry for us more than anything else. But the next year I sat in the opposite section when I went with a few of my friends who were Philly fans and they were pretty nasty. I guess it just depends. One big positive: they aren't half as bad as Jets fans.

Well, it looks like your questions have been answered. Let me add a few things.....

There's a lot of live music being played downtown or very near there if that's your fancy. Decent Jazz at a few spots, some good Rock at others, limited Blues but it can be found. If you like live Funk or R&B, it's probably not happening..... :shakeno:

Here's a cool place......

The Loft

I'll be there with you man. I'm sitting section 114 row 14 I think. My buddy has the tickets, so I don't know exactly where we're going to be.
