The threat to run amplifies his potential. Problem is this offense is so complex with the jargon and takes so long to learn that I have a hard time believing he’ll effectively make the correct reads in 2.5 seconds before the Swiss cheese o-line gets to him

He's better than both the bums we have, but unless McDunce simplifies the O playbook in no way, shape, or form, this guy will have the handle of it after 2 weeks. No confidence in Mike to do that.

I feel like people are losing hope because Skylar Thompson was so very bad.

Skylar doesn't belong in the NFL. Never has or will. Shame on Grier and McDaniel for keeping on the roster. McDaniel needs to get out of the friends business. Killing this team.

Zero. He was on a practice squad for a reason and anyone who says different needs to come back to reality

There’s multiple reasons. For one thing, we are the exception. Most teams already have a very quality backup and there’s only 32 of those jobs available. Secondly, he’s seen as someone you tailor an offense to, not someone who can just jump into any system - not something most teams are looking for in a backup.

If we tinker the offense to center around his strengths, he’s at least shown a glimmer of potential which could give us a tiny bit of hope. No one should hold their breath, but I can at least feel like we have a punchers chance with him out there. Not so much with Boyle and Thompson.

Darnold always had the potential. He just needed to find the right team. He played for the Jets and Panthers with a quick stop in SF where he wasn't depended on. Up in Minny you see what's happening. That man can play QB and has an arm.

Huntley's athleticism is exciting. I think he could really help most in short yardage and when things break down.

I definitely think he'll be an upgrade over Thompson and Boyle.
