Any Hope In Tyler Huntley?

Hope? IDK. 🤷. But I do know that we cannot put Thompson out there. He doesn’t trust what he sees and never did. He can’t unload the ball. He’s just not good enough to play at the NFL level. I don’t know that Boyle is any better. So it’s got to be Huntley

Honestly asking - You wanna roll with Boyle on Monday? He was better than Skylar for sure.
I don't care who we roll with, it's not gonna make a difference. People on here building up Huntley like he's some great qb that was just somehow on a practice squad and no other team knew how great he was except the Dolphins, is laughable. Who ever is better between Thompson, Boyle or Huntly is like being the tallest midget

There’s multiple reasons. For one thing, we are the exception. Most teams already have a very quality backup and there’s only 32 of those jobs available. Secondly, he’s seen as someone you tailor an offense to, not someone who can just jump into any system - not something most teams are looking for in a backup.

If we tinker the offense to center around his strengths, he’s at least shown a glimmer of potential which could give us a tiny bit of hope. No one should hold their breath, but I can at least feel like we have a punchers chance with him out there. Not so much with Boyle and Thompson.
That's fine, you can have a bit of optimism but I'll say it again. He didn't make a roster for a reason

Hope? Personally I think it’s do-able. But it’s going to take a focused approach to tailor the scheme to fit him.

We haven’t seen that type of adjustment, adaptation or resourcefulness yet but it could be done.

If Don Shula were our coach, the Monday game would’ve been lock because he would have done those things. The staff needs a come to Jesus moment but it can be done.

I don’t like Boyle’s game at all. Not my cup of tea.

The staff is in full on urgency mode here. Back is against the wall. “It will be fine” is not working. Get resourceful. How they produce will be telling.

This "sky is falling" situation 100% brings the coaching staff to the forefront. There's still loads of talent on this team on both sides of a ball. A competent staff could at least get through the softer part of the schedule.

You have to change the offense for him. He can’t run the Tua offense. He’s mobile so it may help given the line issues. I don’t think much of him as a qb but maybe he can win a game or two

How much hope do you have in Tyler Huntley if he is the starter (no league deals acquired by then by the FO) against the Titans?

I have little hope that Tyler Huntley will manage our offense effectively by the time Tua returns. You?

Huntley is ready. I don’t care how much of the playbook he knows. He filled in admirably for Lamar Jackson and had some success. Hes a scrambling QB who has the ability to throw on the run. Our OLine ****ing blows. Huntley gives us the best chance to win. It’s enough at this point

WTF are you talking about? No one here is building him up to be some great QB. But! Hes athletic and our OLine ****ing blows so this move makes sense at this point

Gotta roll with Huntley. Like you said, he filled in for Lamar nicely. He's athletic and can extend plays. This is the best guy for the job right now.

I have hope for Huntley. I’m losing hope in McDaniel though.
McD is done
McD is cooked
He’s in way over his head
He’s done nothing right since he’s gotten here
Except building up Tua’s confidence
But to be honest, we’re wasting time with Tua, he’s not dominant when need be, he can’t improvise, and he can’t extend plays.
Bye
