Anyone any confirmed info yet on our banged up O-Line?

This could mess up the whole season if any of them are seriously hurt =(

I doubt Grove's injury was serious, he kept wanting to go back into the game. So much so that they had to take his helmet away from him.

Berger went back in the game so he couldn't have been injured too badly. Vernon Carey went back in after his injury also. Grove didn't appear to be favoring his leg or anything when walking around on the sidelines so maybe he was held out as a precaution.

The only one that will hurt us is Ferg. On the sidelines he was punching the table he was on. He knows it's serious, season or even career considering his age.

Fergie's injury might not be the worst thing for the Dolphins in the longrun. Realistically this will be a hard year for the Dolphins to make the playoffs, and this year should be utilized in evaluating talent (especially Henne). The Dolphins needed to figure out what they are going to do at noseguard, whether it's Soliai or someone needs to be moved over like Starks or McDaniels. Still, wouldn't be surprised if Fergie signs a cheap 1 year depth contract with the team next year. Aside from the depth and consistency, he brings a lot of leadership and intangibles to the lockerroom.

I don't think the oline injuries with have a long lasting effects. Nate Garner came back in after being hurt, Grove came back, and even Berger came back. With nine full days of rest between games, they should all be able to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ferguson played his last down this year, he looked to be in a lot of pain. We really need Soliai to get healthy and start playing again. I like Soliai, but Ferguson is on a level by himself and will be a huge loss for the defense. Even if Ferguson does return in 2010, drafting a NT high in the draft to rotate with Soliai is an absolute must.

If Fergy injury is serious our run defense will take a hit the rest of the yr. With Soliai nursing injuries he will not be 100% the rest of the yr because of the pounding he will take in the middle. I think you will see more 4 man fronts if Fergy is done for the season..

nothing wrong with making a strong push to the playoffs though...a good evaluation of our talent is how they perform under the extreme pressure to make the playoffs from this far down...last year we surprised....this year...i think we will also surprise...not quite as much as last year but after starting 0-3 and now 5-5...i feel that it will come down to the last two games for us to make the playoffs...the outcome of those games will cause surprise...(hopefully by us winning and making the playoffs) the best test for our team is their willingness to win

If Ferg is done, I think his absence will be felt the most vs. Jacksonville and Tennessee. Hopefully Soliai and McDaniels will step up and do well there.

Vince Wilfork of the Patriots
Last two seasons all-pro

Wilfork entered the final season of his contract in 2009. Reportedly unhappy with not receiving a contract extension, Wilfork did not attend the team's voluntary organized team activities in the springhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vince_Wilfork#cite_note-7

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_Beach_County,_Florida Wilfork has roots here in South Florida playing his high school and college ball here.He just turned 28 so he has plenty of pro bowl play left

I would spend the money on him because he could be our pro bowl anchor on the defensive line for years to come and would no doubt make every one around him that much better.

With ferg it looked like it might have been cause of the turf. There was like huge chunks of it so maybe he slipped.

A slippery field can result in some of the more obscure injuries because the slipping adds another dimension. A lot of the time, when you see a player get hurt without being tackled, it can be because of field conditions. When you plant your foot and put most of your weight on it and it moves, bad things happen. I think the first play of the game (Carpenter slipping) was an omen for us...

I have to respectfully disagree. I think we will win the division and I think we could make some noise in the playoffs. We have proved we could play with the best (colts, saints), I think we can make some noiseeee.
