The Saints released him after they got Brees, I think he would make a good backup and if Culpepper ever got injured, he could start as well. :dolphins:

dude, I hate to be the one to break this to you....but Culpepper IS injured.

I would take Brooks as a backup.....i would take almost any of the available QB's with some starting experience.

A good franchise plans for the worst case scenario....so we better sign a QB who we would feel comfortable starting week 1 and beyond.

nice another brooks thread. keep em coming guys.

this guy is horrible. gus > brooks.

Hey Burger, hate to break it to you, but Culpepper is gonna be number 8, so you're gonna have to change your sig..

no to brooks, yes to Cleo!!! (might as well get used to Cleo our opening day starter)

Culpepper said he'll be ready for week 1, so what do you know that he doesn't?

Hell no to Brooks.

Anyone who says yes must forget the last time the phins played the Saints and Brooks single handidly lost the game for them.

Wow.....breaking news!!! :shakeno:

haven't had time to change it.

Brooks is terrible, he did nothing in New Orleans, and will do nothing in Miami, if you want a decent backup, go with Frerotte if he can take a pay cut. He knows the whole phin playbook.

that's a best case scenario.....but the team should prepare for the worst.

Someone else mentioned Brian Griese and, if he can't find a starting job somewhere, I think that would be a better fit. Gus would be a nice backup as well. We may not have Culpepper to begin the season, although I'm hopeful he will heal quickly.

I like Brooks I wouldn't mind his as our backup he plays similar to Culpepper but not as good as decision making!

ME ! ME ! ME!.. Aye for Brooks.. He'd be a Superb back-up For Pepper. All Aboard!
