Any Miami fan a bit worried about the Jets ???

the Jets have a weak secondary and don't have many weapons on offense even with the signing of Decker. on paper they appear to be the worst team in the division at this point, but i thought the same thing last year. never count out that team with Rex Ryan as the coach, he gets the most out of his players.
 
It's good to respect and be a little afraid of every team, especially considering how the Jets -and Bills- beat us last year. Just remember: they're more afraid of you than you are of them!
 
We don't match up well with the Bills or Jets, and our 1-3 record against them is a good indication. Unless we establish a more physical D and a commitment to the running game, we're going to struggle with both of them. I'm hopeful that Lazor will establish the running game and that Hickey will draft a couple of players who can contribute immediately on D; it'd also be nice to see some of our 2nd year players contribute.

Disagree with the sentiment in this thread that we shouldn't be worried about Vick. He is light years ahead of Geno Smith, and he can extend plays, which was a huge weakness for us last year. Vick instantly makes the Jets a better team.

Now on the other side of the ball, they have no viable man to man CB (Milliner blows), which is essential for Rex Ryan's defense....

we have one of the best HCs in the league, you guys are the ones that should be worried about your HC b/c this is his last year.

we are 2 weeks into FA, we have 12 picks in what is considered the deepest draft in 20 years.

as of now:

QB that outplayed your QB down the stretch
better RBs
upgrade at WR w/ Decker so far
need to upgrade TEs
solid OL

one of top DLs in game while yours just took a big hit
decent LBs
need help in secondary but have young safeties that improved last year and Milliner finished strong.

we had the worst talent in the division last year and finished in 2nd, we will have much more talent this year. like I said, you should be worried.

Milliner didnt finish strong. CB should be your teams #1 priority. Your defense doesn't work without good man corners.
 
With turnover machine vick?
 
Well since they're a better coached team than we are they don't need as much talent to be just as good as us....If they get a #1 WR and a good CB, they will be a tough out for anybody and with Geno in his second yr, I see him beating out Vick, we won't see Vick unless Geno struggles but both are turnover machines....The D will be better this yr than last.....
 
Solid players but with so little around them their contributions will be wasted. Decker is a decent WR when he has a good QB. Without one he will struggle to create for himself. They are overestimating their running game, Vick will try to run but will learn its hell to get old and his accuracy is as bad as it has ever been. Geno is Geno so no help coming there. I just don't see how they are going to put up enough points and their dline is not enough to stop others from scoring on their porous and inexperienced secondary. Biased, you bet. I welcome the crow should it come, but as of right now, today, the roster looks significantly worse than last years to me.

Did anyone on that team intimate you last yr? But with the season on line they came into our building with nothing to play for and held our offense to 7 points in a win or go home game....Don't underestimate superior coaching...the Jets have it....
