Any news on Grimes signing?

i would franchise him...and try and get a 3 year deal done prior to July deadline. I don't want him touching the open market.
 
No need to franchise him. I think he would accept a 2-3 year deal... From the way his wife tweets it seems like they both really wanna be here

No need to make a loyal player pissed off by giving him another one year contract. Give him 3 years for $21 million and guarantee $14 million. Everybody is happy.
 
I hope we can sign him soon. If we can't work out a deal then we tag him and work out a deal with him under the tag. Miami can not and will not let him simply walk away.

Dude, no need to ask that question around here. If it's Dolphin news, somebody is going to post it ASAP! Not sure how they do it. They don't eat, sleep, or have sex, they just scan the internet for Dolphin news 24/7.

Well...ok, ok... they do have sex, but the part about not eating or sleeping is true... after all, you are reading this on the internet :chuckle:

Just because you tag does not mean he plays at that number. You can still negotiate a deal while he is tagged.

There is no way the Fins will use that cap room anyway. Tag a very good player so not to risk him walking.
