I see the news about Wilkenson talking to us about the possibility of playing here, however I haven't seen or heard of any news on Tim Bowens! From what I can remember last year, he was hanging 'em up for @ least a year, to let his back(?) get healthier. I thought it was after that he was going to attempt another go @ it.

Well I thought Timbo was hanging it up, but Chester was trying to come back and I'm not sure why we didn't take a flyer on him..that's what shocked me..I thought Chester would be more appealing because he was younger..Timbo was up there in age and injuries.

With players his size, its extremely difficult to "take a year off" and snap your fingers to come back the next year . . especially if he is taking a break to rest his back. I mean he probably chilled at home, definetly eating good, and definetly slacking on his workout habits . . I'm not saying he did that, but thats what I am assuming. With all the money he as made, he probably has played his last game. But I could be wrong.

someone just yesterday or the day before posted an article about him ...if I could remember more, I would have drug it up for you.

edit; my bad, it was about DAVID Bowens...sorry...

Timbo is one of the most under-rated players in the Miami Dolphins franchise. When Zach Thomas retires, I wouldn't be surprised if he has Timbo's name around the top of the stadium next to Zach's name. Zach said the presence of Timbo was the main reason for all of his tackles.

On the topic, I haven't heard of him trying to recover from his back injury and get into playing again. I'd be surprised if he was still in football shape.

IMO Chester burned his bridges when he tried to get an injury settlement in last years training camp.I dont think Saban was impressed with him anyway.

BTW I have heard from reliable sources that Timbo is in very bad shape and that he is done basically. The heart may be there but his body is shot.

Too bad .One of my favorite players.

Timbo is too old and broken up to help the Dolphins in any way. Hopefully Manny Wright will get his fat a@! in shape so that he can help us. By the way, has Vickerson made a full recovery? The looked like he has the potential to be the real deal.

T-Bo was a monster and I hope he trys to come back even for just 1 more season.

Didn't Tim Bowens get waived last year because he failed a physical?

man i used to love tim bowens. i was so said to see him go. i think he was so underatted. i even belive he may had been the best dt in our history.

naw dawg.. mike jordan came back for a little bit, and looked utterly pitiful ( yes, im a wizrds fan, so i do have bias' against jordan..awful GM )...let Big Tim rest man.. he was a heckof a player, and no doubt responsible for Zacks emergence as the best mlb in the game...

TimBO and Chester were both interested in returning to football and more importantly, the Dolphins. I haven't heard anything lately. Imo either one would be a nice pick up.

Dolphins | T. Bowens may try again in 2006
Sat, 18 Jun 2005 20:55:01 -0700
Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports former Miami Dolphins DT Tim Bowens (back) may not retire after all, but he may instead opt to attempt to play in 2006, if he feels better after some time away. Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Bowens isn't going to immediately file such paperwork with the NFL. "If he came back, it would be with the Dolphins. That goes without saying," Rosenhaus said.

This is the last we've heard of him. Funny..... a year to date.

The man has a BACK problem meaning every single play he is using his back.

Sure he wants to but actually coming back is something very different.

He is done. Let's move on instead of moving backwards.
