That would be damn tragic if he proved as injury prone as Toledo. I'm not sure Mormino was truly injury prone, he ran into a string of bad luck, but he also just wasn't that good. Toledo I thought showed some promise on the field before going through a steady stream of injuries.
Keep an eye out for Mark Lewis, the UDFA from Oregon.
When I've watched the guy play, he really sets his feet quickly to get maximum leverage and he explodes into his blows using his feet and hips really well. He's the definition of a trench "fighter" because he is always keeping an eye out for people to knock around, and he's a brawler. He'll take swipes at anyone that comes close to him, he's not one of those guys that just waits for someone to engage him directly and lets people run by him 5 feet away. He has good body control for cut blocks. Best of all, from what I could see anyway, he was consistent and he finished blocks.
On the downside, the guy does not have movement skills. He looks dumpy and he moves dumpy. He'll do a great job looking for someone to block on the second level, and sticking to his blocks there, but he doesn't have the feet to get out there quickly enough. The biggest weakness is, if he's going to survive as a starter in the NFL, he's going to have to develop almost a Zach Thomas-like sixth sense for things that are going to happen...because with his lack of range he's going to have to anticipate and recognize stunts and delayed blitzes more quickly than other guys.
