any reason why we gave up on Gordon and AJ?

More insults? Why call me stupid? If your point is that good, you won't need to top it off with an insult.

He did not call you stupid.

I didn't call you stupid. I said you're making yourself look stupid. that would imply that I think you're NOT stupid and am actually concerned with the impression that you're making.

I'm trying to help you see that your continuous attacks on AJ feeley and Lamar Gordon, with absolutely no substance whatsoever, is harming your reputation.

Sorry if you took that as an insult. I just care. :)

Please give me specifics...

It's obvious that neither of these guys are the long term answer.

Especially Feeley, then compare his starts to those of Manning, Brady, and Bledsoe. Their first starts of their careers mind you. For that matter, should Cincinatti give up on Palmer, he looked Horrible Sunday night. The play at the end was more because Wyrick screwed up, not Palmer being any good. You cant tell that Neither of them are long term answers until they play out the season.

If Gordon had shown promise the Rams would not have needed to draft a RB to back up Marshall with their first pick. Mike Martz is a better judge of offensive talent then Rick or Dave.

Ricky was very good, yet the Saints drafted Macallister. Portis was very good, yet they drafted Quentin Griffith. Martz's needs were gone by the time Jackson was drafted, at that point he drafted the HIGHEST RATED PLAYER ON THE BOARD. Had that been a reciever or QB they would have gone. Martz liked Gordon alot. To spend a third round choice on a Div 2 RB says something.

Are you saying that no team every drafts a player at a position where they already have quality players? If so, you are mistaken since there are numerous examples of this happening:

1. Colts drafted E. James with Marshall Faulk on the roster
2. Bills drafted McGahee with Travis Henry on the roster
3. Saints drafted McAlister with Ricky Williams on the roster

Those are just the recent examples.

Are you saying that Martz is never wrong with talent evaluation? If so, you are wrong there as well. Both Vermeil and Martz totally missed the fact that Kurt Warner was a better QB than Trent Green.

Maybe Martz just liked Jackson better. Maybe he was concerned about Faulk's age and health. Maybe he was concerned about Gordon's health.

.....and maybe He was concerned about Gordon's toughness after having Gordon complain of heel pain most of his rookie season, and himself dimissing the excuse...only to find out later that surgery was need to extract an extremely painfull bone chip from Gordon's HEEL....after which Martz publicly apologized to Gordon.

Hey, but it's good to see Lawrence finnally throw a piece of meat instead of those bones he's been trying to feed the dogs.

I might be missing the picture, but if I use the same logic, then Clinton Portis and Champ Bailey aren't worth a nickel because they were traded also.

Excellent point.

Thread over.

We really dont know if Lamar or Feeley is a long-term answer. Hopefully, we let them start this year, and if they dont pan out....hope Matt Lineart or Carnell Williams is there when we pick in the draft.

Feeley especially, we need to give him a chance. Take nearly ANY very good -even great -QB and the first starts they had were frequently less than spectacular. Steve Young, Brett Favre were both traded, slipped through the cracks of other teams. Give the kid a chance, if he can get it figured out then he's the answer, if not -we're no worse off than we are right now!
