would love to know the actual assessment and how close he was to actually being cleared.

nothing yet. Hopefully we are not reading the headlines in a few weeks talking about Tanne needing surgery for his knee. if that's the case... I would fire ALL of our medical staff, immediately.

He should have had surgery right away. That way he could have gotten a head start on the rehab and making sure he would be ready to go for the 2017 season.

If he is 50/50 on needing surgery, is there some reason NOT to just go ahead with the surgery?
I know you don't just go under the knife for fun, but could be the negative to having the surgery?
The swelling/inflammation period is over. By now, they should be able to make a definitive decision.

your guess is as good as mine. you would think the doctors would have advised him of all his options. I haven't seen or heard any reports.

I read they are re evaluating surgery need. If so, seems like he has lost a lot of rehab time.

Exactly! He should have had it done right away. He has lost over a month of rehab time already.

When there is a scramble for information that isn't there, assumptions reign supreme.

Gase did say Tanne is on track to start on time for next season this morning. But who really knows. Said he is still working with the trainers and things are looking good

If you're 50/50 for surgery you wait. Surgery causes trauma and creates a much longer and more complex rehab. They were smart to wait even if he needs surgery sometime soon.

I am eager to find out his health status too, but I also trust Gase and the medical staff to make the right call and put his long term health first as well as his availability to start in our season opener this upcoming season....let's be real here guys, Gase and the med staff aren't morons...if he needed surgery, they would have gotten it as soon as they made the call it's in his best interests...Gase's track record with letting guys come back from injury (think of how cautious they were with XHoward) should tell you that they are doing everything appropriately...Gase is cautious with injuries, which sucks for us fans but is good for the players

I feel like he should have gotten the surgery either way. He is not going to have the confidence to be mobile if his ACL is slightly damaged. Of course, it could heal itself over time, but I feel like that is not the case and we were holding out hope that he could return for the playoffs, even if he was slightly injured. He better have surgery in the next 2 weeks if it's needed because that is about a 9 month recovery. He won't be ready until October- November if that happens.
