The only way I see us taking on any vets is if they see great value in a potential trade. There are currently 7 teams with negative cap room. 3 more teams have less than 1M in cap money. TB, LAC & WAS are in big time negative cap room. If a few of those teams get desperate to unload salary & the player looks like a fit, we are in great shape to get those player(s) for pennies on the dollar.

RIght. We've got to look at it differently now. Miami is obviously looking at young players with upside to build with. That is the current direction.

Now probably next year, if Miami has their QB they might be looking to pepper in some veterans.

And if Grier plays it right he will make sure the other team provides draft pick(s) to compensate for providing salary cap relief.
