Check the link. On previous threads myself and other finfans spoke about this. Many of you took it as if it weren't a legit discussion. The fact is the sentiment is out there. Leinart in my opinion closely resembles a more heralded Ryan Leaf, and the fall from grace this guy may, emphasis on may, endure, is a soap opera waiting to happen. This thread is here to look at the alternatives to Leinart. Shocking to some of you theirs alot, starting with:
Quinn
Young
McNeal
Whitehurst
Cutler
Jacobs
and a list of many more. Disscuss them, rate them, but know that Leinart is not the best of them.

I would love to have Brady Quinn

IMO

i like brady quinn, and omar jacobs, with omar jacobs being more of a project qb

im definitely hesistant on drafting leinart. Wouldnt go as far as saying he's the next Ryan Leaf but I would stay away from drafting him. He runs that USC offense like no other, but what half-way decent QB couldnt having all those other athletes around him. Could you imagine Brady Quinn, Vince Young, man i'll go as far as even saying Stephen Moffett from UCF as their QB. USC has 2 RB's that could very well be in the Heisman run, ridiculous WR's, and a stellar line. USC's backup QB, Bootie, is probably a better QB than Leinart, but Leinart is the famous icon and 5th year senior, he's definitely not going to ride the pine. Yea I know he's brought National Championships back to USC and he's made the plays, gotta give credit where credit is due, but I just dont see him succeeding in the NFL.

Not a huge college fan, but brady quinn looked good in the notre damn vs. usc game.

no way bro. the reason nfl scouts and coaches are drooling over matt lienart is because he is light-years ahead of the other prospects in terms of reading coverages, going through progressions and delivering the ball with both accuracy and timing. i can't say i'm a big lienart fan, mostly because i hate usc, but there is no doubt if you are looking for an nfl franchise qb, lienart is your guy. these other kids are classic college qbs that have alot nfl potential but have yet to demonstrate their abilities in a prostyle offense, therefore making it unknown how they will fare at the next level. as with carson palmer, lienart is a lock to be a solid nfl qb.

I would like Bowling Green Jacobs,Toledo QB Gradkowski, Michigan State Drew Stanton. Not in any order just three names that could be successfull. I have seen them all play many times and have always been impressed with all three.

I like Quinn, I like Leinart....

I dont think either played their best game last week. Both did what was necessary to lead their respective teams to be in a position to win the game. Thats big kudos to both for that reason alone.

Quinn had engineered another 3 pts but FG was wide-right from like 34yds. That was a big miss by ND.

I liked enough of what I saw from both QB's in that game and have liked both all year. I just wish Quinn would declare to make this very interesting and add depth to the position come draft time.

Leinart is not overhyped from a talent standpoint. He is not like Leaf in many ways. Most importantly, unlike Leaf he has had more than just one good senior season to rise up the draft boards, thats not an accurate comparison IMO.

Vince Young= Mike Vick with more accuracy:eek:
