Anybody else irate over this...

Is anybody else irate over the fact we didn't try to stop the clock during that last drive? They could have launched a ball into the endzone for a TD and hoped to get the onside kick with some time left. I know the chances of it happening are like a trillion to one but it's still worth a shot.
 
No.....I applaud them for not refusing to go down without a fight. There wasn't much time left EVEN if we did score with a few seconds left. Although CHAD did have one big mistake, it didn't cost us the game....DEFENSE cost us this game: poor tackling, poor secondary play, etc. This game falls squarely, I believe on our D. Of course we couldn't run because we were playing from behind most of the game, but of course that all falls back on the D....it wins games and it definitely can lose games, as it did today.
 
There wouldn't have been much time on the clock but there would have been "some" time on the clock. If they would have scored on the last drive and recovered the kick anything can happen with just one play. I guess they were just too lazy to try and accepted the fact that they're losers and quitters.

Yeah, they made many mistakes and missed many opportunities today but it was well over by the last drive.
 
How can you say the game was over? Yes we got outplayed big time, but with a minute left on the clock and a 2 possession game it is not over. Unlikely that we pull it off, but NOT OVER. Loser talk!

no. I dont even want to win that way. I want my team to be better for 4 straight qtrs. Not 1 minute.

A team doesnt even DESERVE to win when they're down by 2 scores under 1 minute.
 
nah, not mad... more mad at the fact Henne didnt come in, but the game was over so using timeouts, nah

D wouldn't have cost us the game if we score a few more TD's instead of field goals. Penny didn't have one of his best games either, I wouldn't say he lost it just that he helped in a big way. When you only have to defend 2/3rds of the field it's much easier to do. The D stopped them a couple of times and we went 3 and out. Nice job, Penny.

I think what bothers me the most about not going for the long ball for the last ...quarter of the game, is the obvious unwillingness of Pennington to throw one up when circumstances dictate (a-la Favre). We will never see magic without invoking opportunistic events. When is this guy gonna quit throwing 2 yards short of the marker? Oh Yeah!!!! when all the receivers run routes 5 yards past the marker.......pick one now Chad.

once again padding stats when the defense allows....4-4 for 60 yards to run out the clock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great stats vs. the prevent as always, he can throw under the coverage just fine.

This is just me, but I really don't give a rat's *** how they win as long as they do it. It's pretty rare for one team to outplay the other four 4 straight quarters anyway.

I want them to win too, but they didn't deserve it today.
