It ain't just you. Although I don't think it's a matter of not liking football; it's more of a depression that comes with the realization that our beloved team just isn't very good. And as a very long term fan who vividly remembers the brighter days gone by, it's a depression that isn't gonna lift anytime soon.
I always love football. As long as the Patriots don't win the Super Bowl, I'll be happy. And I am very much looking forward to the game tonight. Since I live in Minnesota the Vikings are my second-favorite team, and I don't like the Packers.
The day Gus was named the starter is the day I went through what you are going through now. In a week or two you'll start looking at this team with 2006 in mind and then it becomes much more fun to watch. Also watch some college football to see who we may be able to bring in next year to help our team. Like someone said " Its not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden change of direction"
I Feel the pain. My Canes got knocked off, my Fins went as far south as I have ever seen them go (oh how long ago he Denver and Carolina games seem). It was the official dagger in my football season.
I missed that one unfortunately. I remember at the beginning of the season I thought that game would determine who was going to play USC for the championship. I think those two squads are going to be producing alot of future NFLers
I did not get to see the Browns-Phins game as I was in bed all weekend with a toothache.....I just got my tooth pulled and I am at home lounging on the couch. :) This is the first game I think I have missed since 2001....sounds like I did not miss much....was there any bright spots? All I saw was the Droughns run on ESPN.
