anybody else still in shocked we got culpepper

I know a couple of months have past since we got him...but i still feel like we didnt get him...it's a weird feeling.. I guess all the seasons of ineffective quarterbacks have damaged my brain soo much I think culpepper is just another regular qb..who else feels me?
 
i met him breifly the other day and almost wet myself. pep the starting qb for the miami dolphins. i wanted him over brees all along, its like a dream
 
Not so much in shock any more, but I still can't help but smile when one of my buddies asks what I think about getting him and how we'll do this year.
 
im with u on this too...it prob wont hit reality till we see him on the field in a real game. after the last few yrs with qbs like we had and now daunte culpepper. its alot like when we got ricky. and to think i was happy just watchin a qb like gus last year where i lost the feeling of int everytime our qb dropped back to pass...whats it gonna be like this yr with a guy like pep?
 
I couldn't believe it either, i mean the guy is just tore it up in Minn. Reguardless of what he did in '05, i am still excited. You could have put Manning in Minny last year and you still would have had the same result. Minny had no running game, no defense and no WR willing to step up and be Culpepps target in the beginning of the season. Hes got so many weapons in MIA, he wont know where to throw the ball just to get rid of thing. LOL. People who diss MIA this year either are just jealous or scared.
 
im a culpepper fan, never really a vikings fan, he was there so i watched him, andnow he came over to the fins, so i can tell you, that wow i didnt see this comming, last year they got rid of moss, cause culpepper wanted it. now they get rid of him? it was a shock no doubt

High expectations.

From not only this board and the stadium on game day.

Also the media.

Culpepper is gonna' get the pub.
 
i was shocked when it happened...but seeing as though i see who is there making the decisions and how he handled the whole situation and how he handled himself on draft day i said to myself..."oooooooh" and moved on
 
hopefully when he gets on the field he wont be "just another qb" ..
 
i still have trouble believing it...couple years ago i was wishing we had a guy of his caliber...lets hope he starts game 1 and ends it in the SB
 
i have to admit when i heard of the rumors, i just laughed at them. the day the breaking news broke, i was totally shocked and couldnt believe we only gave up a 2nd rounder for him. shows us how good our front office is now compared to the old regime.
 
i no exactly how u feel, its just weird gettin online and seein threads about him, i still cant believe it. the sad thing i still hear from people that we will be absolutly nuttin this year
 
old news- check the boards... we got daunte like a long time ago. remember, we all wanted brees?
 
It is starting to settle in. Let's see visions of accurate strong passes to CC for TDs, perfectly executed screens to RB, and rifle throws to Mc Mike down the middle of the seam to convert 3rd and 10s. Yeah I have more than warmed up to him being the answer at QB.

To be perfectly honest I wanted Brees as the first option. I still think it would have been a good fit as long as he would have bounced back from his injury (remains to be seen). But it is water under the bridge. Just not meant to be and in hindsight most probably for the better. And, fortunately we have a qb whose injury did not involve his arm.
