Bargain hunting?....With this be "patient" philosophy,I think Sban is trying to let other teams blow thier collective wads and then swoop down on some unheralded cheaper players..perhaps some older guys(mawae,adams) and then make his mark in the draft.I would like to see brees here but,I doubt Saban will break the bank on one player,especially one with possible shoulder issues.Anyone else think Saban is playing the wait and see game?
 
No. He's targeting specific players for specific reasons.
 
I love how people here "know Saban wont" do something or another. They act like he has coached here 5 years and is their good friend.
 
He is going to make an offer to Brees. If Brees accepts he now can make legitimate offers to other free agents.
 
At no point did i say I know for certain what he is doing! I asked for an opinion and gave mine...If this is your idea of a post..then really why bother?
 
Seems some of the guys we were suppose to be targeting are gone ...Like bently..and the de from the ravens...but i am kinda more interested in the guys like mawae and the tackle from ne ashworth...this is the kind of shrewd dealing that i was hoping for personally...taking from the divisional rivals is kinda cool.

People constantly say that Saban wont do this and wont do that like they have a clue what he will or wont do.
 
saban does´nt rush , he plays well , he´s going to offer brees something good no question . he likes brees , we know that we have a bunch of great vets that can´t stay for a long time in optimal playing condition so a kid to groom is not what sabans need right now , thats why brees is a perfect fit here .
