That we are freeing up some cap space to go get Edwards or Orton? We released Tim Dobbins ($1.7 million) and heard that they were trying to restructure Carey's contract. I just have a feeling that they are preparing to make one more big move.

I sure hope, I think the Colombo signing is a shot to Carey to let him know hes expandable. I didnt see Colombo's play last season, so Im not gonna say he can come in and start, but we need to restructure Carey. I would love to add some more pieces to this Off or Def!!

I saw recent picture of Carey a couple of weeks ago and he looked trim. The issue has to be contract related.

Carey isn't going anywhere folks. Especially with Jake Long's injury, and you can say that they're just being cautious with him so he's ready 100% for the rg season which is ok... I can buy that but you still don't trade or cut your 2nd best lineman when your best lineman is hurt and your OL was S***** last year. As far as the original question here by the OP, I'm not getting that feeling but I sure as hell hope that's what they're doing. If I see them give Soliai a long term deal reducing his ridiculous cap # then I'll have even more hope.

its pretty apparent that carey will be restructured or cut at this point. I think he restructures. Having said that we will def have some cap space and i believe we have to spend 99% of the cap this year no? if so we def will be making at least one more deal. Wish someone could clear up the currennt cap room of the team
