Dolfans,

Is anyone else taking their kid to the AJ Feeley camp in Vegas July 7-9?

We're going for sure....Gramps and both my boys. I may be helping coach at the camp as well. Let me know if any of you are going to be there. It might be a great opportunity to see some Dolphins players....The camp is 125.00 dollars for the general public.

BTW - its not just a skills camp, although thats part of it. It is has several good things for the kids.

Athletic Skills, Sportsmanship and Philosophy
Skills for School
College Awareness
Lecture Topics on Key Issues Facing Our Youth

There may be a few Dolphins players there helping out.

Damn I Would Love To Go But My Girl Is 9 Months Preg. She Would Kill Me If I Told Her I Was Going. :D

Is AJ attending? He needs the practice. One thing is for sure - he won't be talking about weight training - I'm not sure he has ever seen a weight room. Don't mean to blast on him but I'm just not sure he has credentials yet to get anyone excited about learning something from him.

No, I live here but I'm headed out of town for 2+ months beginning this weekend. First stop Maine then to Saratoga before heading to Miami to visit my parents for a few weeks. When I have a good basketball season ($) I treat myself to summers away from this miserable furnace weather in Las Vegas.

In that regard, couldn't they have isolated a better location and/or time for this camp? I mean, mid July in Las Vegas? It's "only" a high of 98 today but supposed to be 106 by Thursday. That dry heat copout is glorified bull****. Give me Miami at 88 degrees and the humidity but the dependable storms any day over this crap. I hope you get decent temperatures but I like my chances in Maine much better.

It would be a long trip for us, and my little guy is barely 2 so I guess not. But that's really nice for kids. And this comes just after reading the good guys article on the home page about JT and Seau giving to the community. I don't mean this at all sarcastically when I say, I feel all warm and fuzzy right now about our football team!

We need to arrange a trade. I grew up in Miami but thrive in cold weather. People here always tease me for walking around without a jacket when it's in the 30s. Anything above the 50s and I'm uncomfortably warm.

Damn, Ill be in Vegas over the July 4th weekend, maybe I can extend my trip a few days and meet a few players.

And how can anyone like that heat? I get mad when it hits the high 90s.

Yeah, I've gotta admit that's generally a plus. There's still plenty of day remaining after the games are over. I usually spend the first couple of weeks of the season in Miami and it's maddening waiting for 1 PM. When I was a teenager I used to sneak in a quick round of golf at a par 60 executive course before the games.

But I don't like the Monday night games starting at 6 PM especially before daylight savings time ends. My college roommates in California used to crack up when I would close the curtains and turn off the lights to make it look like a night atmosphere.

Then you'd love it here in Philly. Cold winters. Too cold for my tastes...

Actually I've spent a couple of winters in Pennsylvania, but in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area not Philly. A ski resort but I don't remember the name.

I concede it was a bit much after a while. I didn't mind the cold but I had no idea how to deal with all the snow. Just walking on the street or clearing snow off the car windshield was bad enough. Then I skidded and spun several revolutions in my Landcruiser and damn near tipped over and down a hill. That might have been it for me. I have no idea how it remained upright. Another time I was walking on a trail then fell into a hole, neck deep in snow.
