The only success the Dolphins found last year was in the running game with the emergence of Jay Ajayi.
I know the team is set at the RB position with Jay Ajayi and Drake. But I think they need to add another big, young, energetic back with the potential to develop into a featured back that could spare Jay or even a replacement when he gets injured.
This years RB class has the top end talent and the depth to drastically change the landscape of a huge portion of NFL backfields. Whatever you like, this class has it. From top prospects like Fournette, Cook, and McCaffery to sneaky late round rookie draft guys like Brian Hill, Kareem Hunt, and Corey Clement – there is a wide spectrum of RB talent.
My favorite in this years draft is D’Onta Foreman, Texas: Foreman is a monster that defenses don’t want to face. He lead the nation in rushing yards behind a bad offensive line at Texas. He bulldozes his way through defenders with ease, always gaining extra yardage after contact. He is one of the strong, hard runner, with great speed. He has a change-of-direction ability to accelerate to top speed quickly.
McShay said "He ranks first in the FBS with 179.2 rushing yards per game. At 6-1 and 249 pounds, Foreman is a load to bring down, and he has really good feet for his size. Creating a ton of yards after contact each week, he doesn't get tackled in the backfield very often. And as a bonus, Foreman is excellent in pass protection."
