I know about continued discussions with Wilkerson. Anyone else being considered? I am still holding hope Miami will sign Berryman, and maybe the running back from South Florida that just got cut by Tampa. But as I wish for these guys I realize someone else gets cut. I do have some concerns about Miami not being able to sign Arrington. Of all the things the team could have done that missed opportunity may haunt the team. They do not have a guy who can fill that role (yes I know Taylor is on the team), but he is not really an Arrington type. Bowens could surprise, so I will hold out hope for him.

I am hoping for sleepers as usual this camp. Anyone want to take a shot at a sleeper for camp?

Im hoping to see an olb signed and possibly a rb. If not a rb I feel comfortable with sammy, the olb situation does bother me though

Im still for Lee Suggs i think he wouldnt be so expensive and in 04 he posted about the same numbers as Ricky last year. His only downfall is hes had some injuries.

I like Lee Suggs as a spelling type back...

I think he would be a good speller for Brown; I know folks would say he can't carry the team, but he wouldn't have to. I like him.

No love for Kay-Jay Harris? Anybody remember when he played for WVU? Bruiser!

Anybody remember when he didn't get drafted? That means that EVERY NFL GM judged him to be less talented than a 7th round pick. So, no, no love for KJ.

I also remember when Sammy was our starting RB when Ricky left the first time. I know the line was worse etc, but I'd feel better with a better RB to take over if Ronnie misses any real time. Sammy's fine as a change of pace or a 3rd down back, but if he's carrying the load, we're in trouble.

Hodge and Newman. I have been preachig praise for them since we got them and I hope by the end of the season I can sit back and say I told you so to the people that doubt.

I really want Newman to start.

I really enjoyed watching them at UNC and always had that feeling that they would be good pros. I think they got in bad situations when drafted and the best is yet to come. If Saban and Capers especially the later IMO can't get them to reach their potential nobody can.

To be fair, there has been a lot of good-to-great players who weren't drafted. Sometimes every NFL GM can misjudge a player.

Kay-Jay wasn't considered less talented than a 7th round pick. I think he was ranked as a top 10 RB by a lot of scouts. He's first day talent, but his durability and especially his age killed his stock with the GMs.

I personally think he'd make a great change-o-pace back. He's just not versatile enough to be a featured back.
