They normalize the stats and players based on situations verse raw stats. Basically in a nut shell if a running back picks up 15 yards on a draw play on 3rd and 20 it isn’t worth as much as 15 yards on 3rd and 1 with 7 men in the box. If you look at some players stats adjusted you start to find some gems out there, in particular you will see why Barber more than likely will not leave Dallas, contradicting what I would love to happen to be honest. It is a nice website tool for stats.
