My family and I are planning on taking a trip down south this year...and we were talking about stoping in Atlanta and seeing a Braves game at Turner Field.

Anyone ever been there? Is it a nice stadium?

your thoughts please

Not yet, but it's on the list of places I plan to visit. Anyway, have fun!

its ok, nothing really special about it, i went like 5 years ago though. One thing i do remember was it was like middle of summer and like 115 degrees and you were allowed to bring coolers in(which we didnt know and had to spend a fortune on drinks)

Yes, and it's a nice park. For its time, it's a palace, but I've been lucky to visit the parks in Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, and Arizona, all of which put most MLB parks to shame.

ive been there. its a great stadium. looks kinda boring on TV, but great in person.

Its nice. Nothing spectacular but nice. Some cute blondes in the stands...more then at shea anyway :)

Bring a fan or something...swap*** runs rampant down there with that humidity.

I've heard good things about it but I haven't been down there in years, since the Braves played in Fulton County stadium.

Been to Turner Field plenty of times.. Its new and has everything you could want at a park.. The seating is decent, the food ok.. There are plenty of places to visit at Turner Field (I enjoy drinking beers at the CF bar).. Worth the visit, but I repeat its no Fenway Park..

nothing is like fenway, the one time i made it up there was liek the bets day ever

I have watched a lot of Braves games on TBS...it looks like a nice stadium but I heard that it is very difficult to drive in Atlanta. I have only seen Coors Field in Denver, Safeco Field in Seattle and the BOB in Phoenix in person....hope to see more stadiums....I wanna see Wrigley, Fenway, Yankee stadium, and Camden Yards in Baltimore.

I've been to Arizona, Oakland, Boston, Tampa, Florida, Atlanta, St Louis. And Arizona is by far the nicest stadium. Boston is the coolest. Tampa is the worst. Haven't been to the new Cardinals stadium though.

Turner Field is a very good MLB park... if you want a preview of what the Dolphins new video screen will be like, you'll love Turner Field. they installed a monstrous Mitsubishi high def screen before last season. i went up for three games last summer, and even in bright august sunlight for the sunday 1pm game, the images were just unbelievable.

they usually have live music in the pavillion area just inside the main gates, plus a big play area for little kids if you have younger siblings, called Tooner Field.

there is lots of stuff to do, plus good eats. Skip and Petes (the TBS announcers) BBQ place there was not bad IMHO.
