I'm certainly not predicting what Brown's going to do after 2 games but it sure looks like Cadillac Williams is the real deal and I got more than I wanted to see from him Sunday. If the draft were held tomorrow would you still support choosing Ronnie over the Caddy?

I'd worry about your "offense" Losman made Frerotte look like Montana!!

Yes I would still take Ronnie. Ronnie needs some time, but I would rather a back that can move piles and pick up first downs then one that breaks 50 yard runs once a game. Also, something that doesn't appear on stat sheets is how great of a blocker he is when the QB needs time to throw. He has only played two games, so give him time.

Also, would you like a mulligan on Losman? You could have had Rogers instead, without all the other picks you gave up.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

Thats like asking if we could go back to the 60's would we still enter the Vietnam war?

However, Browns got lots of time to pan out for us.

Sounds like a "yes" vote for a mulligan.

This isn't smack- notice I didn't diss Brown, as I said he may still be a very good player. But Cadillac is already making the Bucs look like a force to be reckoned with. I'll put you down as "undecided".

You should stay in the depths. I wouldn't take a mulligan on Brown. I know the way Losman looked yesterday I'd take a mulligan on him though.

Fair enough, although if you really were going to get 1 50 yard run every game that would be ridiculous to turn down. As for Rodgers, I wasn't a big fan of his in college. I'm sure you'd agree that it takes a lot longer to judge QB's than RB's, NFL QB is a very complex job. We'll know something about Losman by year end.

No. Just no.

I like Ronnie. He's going to be good. Im willing to wait for it.

Yes. I agree in our situation especially. But even in a different situation I tend to lean toward the north south runner for the reason you said. Ronnie also will be a good receiver for years à la Marshall Faulk.

Even whne he was at his best I still preferred guys like Terrell Davis over Barry Sanders. Not to knock him, he's a class act and one of my all time favorite non-Dolphins, but for winning I'd pick a guy that gets less yds overall than Barry if he gets you more first downs more often. But man I wish Sanders was still running, he was fun to watch!

You make am okay point about instant success for rookie RBs. I will give Brown a whole year behind a line that can maybe start to develop some holes, not saying some of it isn't Ronnie fault with the dancing. Losman on the other hand had a whole year to learn the system and see how it is supposed to be run. I will give you that he was injured some though.

Why? I'm playing nice.

Another vote for "no mulligan". Start your own thread on Losman if you like.

wow are some of you guess testy today, the clown actually was making an intellegent argument without crossing the line, he left it to you guys to step over it. As for the question, I still take Brown and we will compare them at the 3 year mark and see.

QB's can gain by watching but playing is the only way they ultimately develop and it usually takes 3 years. But you know if the potential is there to "get it" sooner than that. RB's need to learn blitz pickup and running pro pass routes but as far as running they either can or can't.
