I imagine he'll play some QB / WR. Any details as to the format of the tryout would be appreciated.:dolphins:

The mini-camp is basically working out players and evaluation with a little teaching. It's aimed at finding where our new talent fits so we can combine them with our team with the best results. As to un-signed players they will do position specific workouts and interviews. I think with vick's problems his mindset is more adept to WR than a QB who has to lead a team...

I heard he had a decent workout until he delivered a cheapshot to another player and was seen leaving the practice smoking a blunt. He was then arrested for drinking while driving and more chargers were added for resisting arrest and fighting the police. He was released on bail this morning and is looking forward to his next workout. Just another day for marcus.

Last reports indicate that Marcus Vick is still trying to pull his head out of his arse.

34-17. The Black Diamond Trophy is at home in Blacksburg where it belongs. Its funny, the eers' greatest year ever included an arsewhuppin at home to the hokies!

BTW, thanks hdjetta for an actual response

I'm interested in what happens this weekend as well. Wish I could go and see some of it, but with the air/sea show in town, it will be tough. Also, anyone know if it is 'public' this weekend?

There will be two "classes" of folks there. Folks either under contract or drafted is the first group. This will include some first year players who were eligible under prior drafts but don't yet have a year of service. I wouldn't be surprised to see guys like Kevin Vickerson and/or Shirdonya Mitchell at this camp. In addition will be our six draft picks and guys we have already signed as undrafted free agents.

The second group will be the invitees who are looking to earn a free agent contract. An example here is Vick. Last year, if memory serves, there were twenty or so in this category of which one or two got signed. Not only will this be undrafted free agents from this year but also guys who may have sat out a year or played in another league such as Arena or Canada.

As far as what they will do, I think hdjetta6316 has it about right. Since it is closed we can't be sure but since evaluation seems to be the principal order of the day, his is a reasonable answer.

He should be playing QB, maybe he'll do something else if Saban wants him to.
