anyone have news about Maurice Williams?

I remember seeing his named mentioned on here yesterday. If he is scheduled to visit or already has i would love this pickup personally. Jacksonville has always had a very solid line and a very good running attack. He is fairly young for a Guard at 29. At very least he can be a solid person to fill the gap till we draft and bring a younger guard along. If we do this and draft Jake Long then we have a very good line and with rumors around about us looking at Turner him and Ronnie with this line of Long, Williams, Satele, Smiley, Carey could run wild and ware down some defenses. And give Beck or whoever is at QB major time to throw to our new receiving core.

Any thought on picking him up are you for it against it?

I read yesterday in the sentinel that we should not be surprised if we took a shot at him but that's all I've heard so far....it'd be a good pick up and with all the good OT's in the draft this year we could really set ourselfs up for a long time...this is the year to draft an OT's as there are 5 that could go in round 1 and about 8 should go in the 1st day.

In other news, defensive tackle Marcus Stroud, who's seeking a trade from the Jaguars, visited the Buffalo Bills on Friday. Free-agent offensive tackle Maurice Williams is in discussions with the Atlanta Falcons but said "other teams are in the mix, too."
