Mel Kiper was going on and on about Patrick Ramsey. Said he's a STEAL for a 2nd day pick. I'm telling you Brees is damaged goods and will cost a ton. Ramsey has as much talent, and a better arm. And we won't break the bank for him so we can surround him with more talent.


This is the guy we want.
 
If we trade for Ramsey, it's for back-up duties. Saban has already stated he sees Ramsey as more of a back-up than a starter.....

Yeah, Ramsey may be a steal for 2nd day pick, but imagine what they would be saying about Brees he were in the position to be traded. Brees is still the guy we want.
 
Ramsey is no better than Feeley, Fiedler, Frerrote, Huard, Sage, ....etc

Career back-ups we will try and force into starters. Brees is a starter. While I am not huge on him and his arm injury scares the hell out of me, I would rather roll the dice with him over Ramsey

He said that? I wouldn't think Ramsey would wanna come here at all if that was the case.

nice job twisting what was said to fit your agenda............

you should probably also mention that they all agreed that Brees was the best option of the 3 (Ramsey, Brees, Culpepper). Ramsey is the steal (i.e. bargain), but Brees is the man.

nice try though.
 
I still prefer Trojans. Ramseys suck.

I really have nothing to offer. Is Sage a goner for sure??

Agree with you. He also said that Ramsey would need a very good line around him or he would take a lot of hits.
 
QB Rumors this AM

Forget the possibility of the Vikings signing free-agent quarterback Drew Brees of the San Diego Chargers. Word within NFL circles is that Brees' surgically repaired shoulder was more damaged than many people know. Quarterbacks who might intrigue the Vikings would seem to be Aaron Brooks of the New Orleans Saints and Brian Griese of the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The Lions are expected to visit with Washington Redskins quarterback Patrick Ramsey, who is trying to work out a draft-day trade. Other teams, including the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, are interested in Ramsey. If a deal is done, it would probably happen on the second day of the draft (April 30) when the compensation would be a fifth-round draft pick or lower.

There is already a rumored offer from the Jets: a fifth-round pick this year or a conditional pick in 2007 that could become as high as a third-round pick if Ramsey becomes the starter the majority of this season.

Maybe ... but in a trade, Ramsey does not have a choice. He's not a FA.
 
yea i was watching mike and mike and it specifically said Brees was the best pick out of culpepper, ramsey and brees.

I seriously doubt Saban would bring in someone that didn't wanna be here.
