Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams spent a 15 minute portion of practices throwing 15 yards passes to one another and catching them along the sidelines. What's really interesting about that drill was Bill Parcells sat right in front of it watching. Both were really working on their throwing mechanics.

I thought this was an interesting little tidbit that probably means they're looking to utilize the pass option more than the one time they did last year.

I hope we dont overuse the wildcat next season. i think it spells trouble in the way oposing defenses plan for us. other then that i would love to have Ronnie up on the line blocking and Pat White and Ricky Williams in the back field and then use Patrick Cobbs in a single back set .

Ummmm what do you think happens when a team spends an entire week preparing for things they have no clue could be coming at them.

Better yet, what happens when they spend all that time preparing for the wildcat and then don't ever see it?

I wish defensive coordinators alot of luck. Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Ted Ginn Jr, Pat White, Jake Long, Vernon Carey, Anthony Fasano....like I said, good luck.

To the contrary, I think we're going to revolutionize pro football. The Wildcat will end up being the new West Coast offense, watch...

I don't see it that way. I can't imagine the Colts having anybody other than Peyton Manning throwing passes. Except for a couple of gimmick plays or half back options, why would they take the ball out of the hands of their greatest asset?

Not everyone would run it. Like not everyone runs the west coast offense.

Of course, most folks can't imagine it either. That is EXACTLY why it may work.....and i think we have the brains and braun to run it pretty regularly. Chris Carter said when Parcells was at ESPN he was drawing up wildcat plays pretty often on the set. That tells me Parcells may see this as his chance to revolutionize the game and put his stamp, even more so than already, on this game that we love so much. It's like opening gifts on christmas, i can't wait to see what happens this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Parcells did this just to throw other teams off.

You could be right but,

They want everyone in the "wildcat" to be able to pass it and catch it, so the other teams " D " will be thinking and half a step behind at all times. It's a very good plan.

They are trying to make an offense that the NFL,CFL,College,High Schools have never seen before.

Since we're not at the ideal point yet (where your O is so good the opponent can know exactly the play that's coming up but is powerless to stop it), trickeration and creativity can keep the opposing D off-balance and honest. I'm all for it.
