Anyone out there with a RT for Merling?

Merling is not that bad...it is possible to trade him for another tackle that is not that bad and better than Columbo

Better than Colombo, absolutely. Good enough to start...that's something entirely different. IMO, Colombo shouldn't even be in the NFL right now. This is another Bobby Carpenter where it's going to take several embarressing performances by Colombo before Ireland and Sparano swallow their pride and do the right thing here and let this guy go.

Wait... so we don't want to trade starks for Matt Flynn anymore? Cuz i was talking to a buddy thats a Packers fan and we agreed (in principle) on a trade that includes Starks a low draft pick for one of their RBs and Matt Flynn.

On what basis are you calling Merling a bust. He might be the best pass rusher in the bunch. He is in on a lot of plays and does not get pushed aournd. He certainly is not perfect, but he is far from a bust.

32nd overall pick in the draft. He still isn't a starter. And he is not a better pass rusher than Starks or Odrick even at this point. A bust in the sense that his production does not match his draft position. Not a complete bust.
