I don't want to stir anything up, but Gus sounds pretty impressive to me. It's not that he's saying anything that I don't think AJ Feeley knows about or is conscious of, but it sounds to me from the transcripts that Frerotte is a bit more conscientious about that kind of stuff.

I encourage you to read it. AJ's didn't sound very interesting at all. I hope the competition keeps going well...but I think Gus is winning this one.

What is the point? Because Frerotte is a better speaker he should be the starting QB?

Don't you think the players will rally around the QB that plays better?

you can tell he loves mcmicheal. thats for certain.

the point is that Gus sounds like he knows what hes doing. He sounds experienced. He didn't state that it makes him look better then feeley, although, I will.

Gus has feeley beat in pretty much every department at this point IMO. Game time play, practice, interviews, team chemistry, etc.

Interviews???????????????:rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

I watched the video of those transcripts and they both seem fine speakers to me. I watched on miamidolphins.com (the Insider)

Anyone got a quick link to the Feeley transcript? The Frerotte transcript is a great read for any football fan, not just for those interested in the Dolphins QB competition.

Aside from experience in the offense, I think the thing that seperates Gus from A.J. is that he can put touch and change trajectory on his passes. A.J. always seems a lot like Ray Lucas in this regard. Everything's a line drive or headed downward at near full speed.

Gus also doesn't lock onto his receivers. IIRC, I saw A.J. do it in Philadelphia as well (I dont' feel like pulling out the tapes).

The thing I have noticed is that A.J. seems more settled back there compared to last year. And he was stepping up in the pocket.

I did see improvement in A.J. in Monday's game. But he's definitely trailing Frerotte.

Jesus Murphy he said he didn't want to stir anything up, and that he did not intend to imply anything. Why do you have to be so defensive?

Thanks for that. Need I remind you of all the time that AJ played last year while it was painful for him to even move? I think his toughness is the one thing that noone has ever questioned.

I could care less who the better speaker is, but Gus certainly sounds like he knows more of what he's doing and what it takes to be a good QB. Greg Bedard made a point in his blogs about A.J. Feeley's tendency to lock onto his receivers. He asked A.J. point blank what he needs to be a better quarterback and even mentioned "locking onto your primary receiver" and A.J. just said he needs to learn to manage the game better, that's it. Meanwhile Gus is talking about situations where he's actually communicating with the receivers to find out how they like things in certain situations.

Like I said I could care less who the better speaker is, but I care a lot about who knows more about being an effective quarterback.

People seem to forget Gus has been a probowler twice, that is all im saying
