Is anyone old enough to remember woodstrock under shula, he got us to a superbowl with two QB's, something that everyone of the experts say is not possible, so it must be coaching that matters not the situation

Rest In Peace David Woodley! Saw a great peace not to long ago about Woodley, forget where I saw it!

He was a very exciting QB! A not as got Steve Young, but had many thrilling games!

Only difference is, both Woodley AND Strock were leagues better than Fiedler.

Yes, had he not been such an introvert he may have gone far with the Phins. This also might have something to do with his alcoholism.

Jay w/need to be the verteran like Strock - which is a statue at QB who c/throw and was extremely smart. He is not - he's a good athlete who has trouble throwing and does not make great decisions often enough.

Feeley would need to (start and) be like Woodley. Woodley was a scrambler when D's were slow so they are nothing alike... I hope for AJ's sake ;)

:hmmm:

Well, when you think about it, Shula did it twice with Morral/Griese and Woodley/Strock.

I remember WoodStrock well. Problem is, I don`t see the FiedlerFeeley combo being as good.

if we had Warner on the bench instead of Jay, it might be a good analogy

I remeber seeing him play against the Jets, and if I remeber right at Shea stadium. I just remember Woodley running all over the plave on the Jets!

Strock was the best back up QB in History!!!

Was it Strock (I think it was) that thru the famous hook and lateral to Nathan in that great Fins vs Chargers game way back in my younger days?
