The last time Miami scored 40+ points in a game?

So this Thanksgiving will be approximately 8 years since Miami scored at least 40 points in a game.

List of number of times each team has scored 40+ in game since Miami last did so in 2003:

And I thought Miami was bad at scoring, Washington hasn't scored 40 in a game since 2001 lol Just crazy that neither team hasn't had at least one 40 point game in the last 8 years.

WOw. Thanks for this interesting stat. Can't score 40 with crappy qbs. At this point if anyone is hoping we win a game then expect more of the same. SFl.
 
I remember. I think we even missed an extra point and beat Dallas like 41-17 or something. They huss Quincy Carter at QB. That guy sucked lol

I keep seeing posts like "how do we know he is going to be good?" or "he's never even played a down in the NFL and he's not proven"....He's in college and has been bred to be a QB. Just like the Manning bros. I just don't understand wanting to take a chance with another run-of-the-mill QB instead of taking a chance on Luck. There are only a handful of QB's that are currently in the NFL at the moment that I would take, and they are already on the elite teams. What's the worst that can happen if we draft Luck and he's a bust? We lose 3 to 4 years? So what? It's better than having a mediocre QB making us a playoff contender every year, but not being good enough and then having the organization fall apart (oh wait, that's the Dolphins schematic for the past decade you say?) The upside is sooo much greater than the downside if he turns out to be great. I'd take the huge potential upside than taking a proven middle of the road guy who just needs some pieces around him to be good.

Green Bay- Aaron Rodgers
New England- Tom Brady
Indianapolis- Peyton Manning
Pittsburgh- Big Ben

These four teams have been considered elite teams the past decade. They all have these unproven rookie players that their franchise took a risk on. There are very few repeat playoff contenders that don't have an elite QB. The Ravens have Flacco who is above average, but have a nasty defense. The Jets have Sanchez, who have a nasty defense. The old motto, "defenses win championships" isn't as true as it was before (although having an amazing defense is needed). In a QB driven league, elite QB's win championships.

I completely agree. You can't exceed in the NFL if you don't take high risks. We're losing while avoiding the 1st rd QB bust, couldn't hurt to try to hit on a QB in the 1st, what does Miami have to lose?
